Shinjuku Sunpark Hotel Reviews

Cons: The internet is terrible. we can barely surf the web for text let alone research YouTube for vacation videos. Rooms are old and carpet is filthy. I posted some photos of teh carpet. Dare not walk around without house slippers on. TV is at least 20 years old. My computer monitor is larger than the TV, lol. Bathroom extremely tiny. shower curtain has a musky mouldy smell. Sound insulation is very poor. You can hear people talking and vehiclea passing from the road below. Breakfast pastries need variations. Can't eat plain croissants everyday. Pros: House keeping and front desk staff are very helpful and polite. Rooms are big by Japanese standards. Location isn't bad. Its in a quieter part of the neighborhood and there's a Lawson's right opposite the hotel. The breakfast drink selection is good (best were the ice coffee, ice tea, 3 types of juices, and milk). Beautiful rock garden. The old house was under restoration but i can imagine it to be beautiful once completed. Overall this hotel has great potential but it really needs updating.

10 min walking to restaurants and shopping area JR Odori station. Ride one station to Shinjuku shopping area. Light breakfast provided by the hotel.

Roomy for 2 beds. No problem to open 2 big suitcases. Separate bath and toilet adds extra convenience.

It was a good stay for one night

Quiet location. 10 min walk to train stations, restaurants and supermarkets. Cosy rooms and inexpensive room rate.

The location is excellent, and the room comes fully equipped with air conditioning, a bathtub, and a flush toilet. The front desk staff were patient and helpful. Western breakfast is also provided. Overall, a great experience!

Spacious room, however, bathroom was a bit too small.

The hotel is inconvenient and it takes around 15 minutes from the subway station. It provides simple breakfast and it’s free.

Good location. Helpful staff. They allowed us to check-in an hour early for no additional cost

The room is so noisy, while I was sleeping, I heard all things from outside the room; people talked, next room took a shower, next room snored, people walk outside, road noise etc. and it's so spooky place to stay for my friend we couldn't sleep well and that made us tired in a day time. if anybody want to choose this hotel please make sure that you can accept the condition that I've told you. You surely meet the same thing like I met.

Old but clean hotel. The bathroom is very very small. The price is cheap.

GOOD！

The garden is beautiful and the location is close to Shinjuku and Okubo, so you can go out and play in Shinjuku until late at night. There is also a Lawson convenience store right in front, which is nice.

Although the room facilities are old, the hygiene is very good and I feel relieved to live here. The breakfast is simple but delicious.
