illi Amu Shimokitazawa

If you love Shibuya/Shinjuku, enjoy underground music, and want to experience the local Japanese atmosphere, then check out illi amu. It's a very new hotel, having only opened in May. My family of three each had their own bed, allowing us to adjust to the time difference without disturbing each other. There's a 7-11 and Family Mart downstairs, making breakfast a breeze. 7-11 has a courier service that can send luggage to your next hotel. The area is full of soup curry restaurants, yakitori (a type of yakiniku), izakaya (a type of izakaya), and two highly-rated omakase restaurants. I didn't make reservations this time because I was traveling with my child and worried he wouldn't be used to sashimi. The only downside is that it's a bit far from Disneyland, requiring transfers on four buses. This hotel can accommodate up to six people. It's important to note that the rates for three and six people are definitely different.
