APA Hotel Akihabara Ekimae

Akihabara
There are three Apa hotels around, and this is the place close to the station, and I knew it would be the most expensive place than anywhere else, but the facilities are too restless. If possible, it would be okay to go to a recently built place.

Ueno/Asakusa
I knew it was close to Ueno Station, but it's really closer than I thought! Ueno Station, Ueno Park Square and Zoo, Yameya Yokocho Market, Don Quixote, etc. were very close, and the location was so good, and as soon as you get out of the hostel, convenience stores and various restaurants are located nearby. It was great to take the skyliner to Narita Airport in an hour on the last day of the hostel. As with Japanese accommodations, it was a bit narrow, but it was not unreasonable to stay alone! Highly recommended for coming alone or couples
APA Hotel Higashi-Shinjuku-Kabukicho

Shinjuku Area
Nice clean hotel but too small for any longer than 4 nights. Maids came in once while we were there. Bed was very comfy but too small for us Fat Americans for any longer than 4 days. Bathroom was nice but felt like I was on a cruise ship or ferry. Bordering seedy part of Tokyo. No good restaurants other than hotel who had wonderful staff we made friends with. Breakfast was very good & reasonably priced. I wouldn't stay there again though. No coffee shops in the area. Good price but you get what you pay for in ”little Korea/Chinatown” area of Tokyo. Did like the discount store with everything called Donkey or Donkey. They had everything and the price was right and helpful salespeople.
