Family-friendly Hotels in Toba

Let me start by saying that the staff, particularly in the restaurant, had good English and we had no problems communicating generally, which I know has been mentioned in other reviews. We stayed in an Ocean Suite room for our engagement weekend, the view was amazing! Watching the sun rise over the sea was beautiful and the panorama of the islands and sea was so peaceful. The room was plush and the furniture felt relatively new. The bathrobes and pyjamas provided by the hotel during our stay were very comfortable, though something of a shame to not be able to go from room to onsen without outdoor clothes (other robes are provided at the onsen). I and my partner both have various food allergies or intolerances but the hotel has an exceptionally good way of managing allergies by asking you to submit a form beforehand. As a result of this, we were both able to have full, proper meals with no issues. For the breakfast buffet, we were given a sheet, in English, of all the dishes on service and all allergens. The food was excellent and the wine list was the best I have seen anywhere in Japan. There are regular shuttles from the hotel to station, and the reverse. However, these stop after a certain hour and the hotel is not easily walkable from the station. I am still not really sure how this would normally be done, I assume the hotel will pick you up if asked but we were not sure how to arrange (and originally thought from the map that it would be walkable). Honestly, I am looking forward to going back there - hopefully for an anniversary!

Just before GW, I stayed as a refreshment when I visited Ise Jingu shrine. I had ISE tea and cheese cake hospitality after checking in at the front desk, but this cheese cake was very delicious. The room is modern Japanese. The view is outstanding with the sea from the window. It was a nice room. Dinner was a Japanese course (with spiny lobster and abalone) in a private room of a restaurant called Shiraishi, but the volume was just right and everything was delicious. Also, the male staff who were in charge at this dinner was very friendly and I was able to spend a satisfying time. Breakfast is also Japanese, but it was very delicious and I was able to relax. The hot spring bath was also beautiful and good. I think the customer service of the hotel staff 々 (both male staff and female staff 々) is outstanding. Also, I would like to stay when visiting Ise Jingu shrine.

Last time I used it with my wife, I was really interested, so this year I used it for consecutive nights. Among the things I was interested in, I especially liked this SPA and made a reservation this time, so I headed to Onjuku in time🚙 Arrived at just the right time, welcome sparkling while checking in🥂. . . On this day, we stayed in the same room as last time, the Premium Suite with Dining, Room 209, ”Sankai”. The person who came and the other woman greeted me, explained the menu and consulted about the contents, and decided to have a 100-minute full body and head SPA. . . No, I was feeling really good, and then I was really hungry. I felt a sense of emotion 🙌 Today is the 22nd 😲 After the 100-minute SPA refreshed my body and stomach (laughs), I had dinner in the dining room in the room I had been waiting for. . . I was wondering if I could eat in the car on my way, but now I'm so hungry that I can't stand it. 🍻 Start with appetizers: conger eel skin cucumber ginger, eel Hachiman rolls, horse mackerel sushi, salmon lotus root rolls, Torimatsu style, conger roe, Maruju lemon simmered, ginkgo pine needles. Koyose and horse mackerel sushi are the best! Beer goes well. Next is sashimi, so I ordered cold sake. For the sashimi, sweet shrimp, turban shell, amberjack, and grunt were beautifully arranged in a bowl lined with ice 🐟🦐 This goes well with cold sake ❣ Next, soup made with clear soup, beaten shrimp, edamame tofu, grilled wheat gluten, Lotus yam, Matsuba yuzu, a gentle dashi soup that will make your heart and stomach happy 🎵 Strong dish: butter-grilled black abalone from Ise-Shima, asparagus, tomato, king oyster mushroom, and liver sauce Surprisingly good for two people who love abalone. I want to lick this liver sauce with the plate (laughs). Especially the black abalone. . . It seems that the abalone that eats wakame is decreasing because wakame is decreasing. I wonder if the sea water temperature is rising. I like it(・∀・)!! The delicious Japanese-style sauce is good❣ Even I, who doesn't like beef, was able to eat it all at once. The rice to finish off was small fish rice, and while I was eating it, the rice cooker was making the sound of being finished, which made me laugh (laughs). Ta 💦 This fruit dessert made my stomach burst. I didn't have an appetite until I came here, but I can't believe I could eat so much 😲 After dinner, I relaxed in the open-air bath attached to the room and went to dark on the first day. . . Breakfast is Japanese food at the dining room ”Arashi”. There are plenty of grilled fish, dashi rolls*, sashimi, salad, etc. 🍚 Check out once and visit Ise (Naiku). *We will upload it separately. On the day I came back to Onjuku, there was a maisonette suite called ”Senpa” in room 112 of the Ushio Building. (^ ^; I searched the room and the open-air bath with the room is small, and it's probably a separate building from the room I stayed in the previous day, but the room is old and messy, so I was excited. So, the two of us, sweating from visiting Ise, went to the public bath for the first time. (Laughs) Well, let's enjoy dinner 🙌 There is no restaurant in the room tonight, so we ate it in a private room in the dining room ”Arashi” 🍚 First we had beer 🍻, followed by cold sake. I love chawanmushi, so I'm excited again (laugh). I forgot something, but it was a combination of fish, small yam, carrots, peas, etc. Grilled appetizers: Large prawns and black abalone grilled in a bowl of abalone shells. A happy plate full of black abalone. The beef stew is so yummy that it changes the concept of beef stew you've ever eaten, and it's made by the head chef who loves meat. I'm not perfect, so I still can't seem to eat fried food, so I'm sorry for the smell of fried food... To finish off, we had sushi rolls with lots of ingredients, such as * and tuna. Yogurt and fruit blueberry sauce No, my stomach bursts (laughs) After eating, I took a leisurely soak in the hot spring in my room to relieve the fatigue of the day ♨ Good morning! Miso soup, simmered taro, steamed egg custard, sweet shrimp sashimi, dashi rolls, salad, and more! I feel nauseous. After this, my appetite returned and it was really good ❣ It may be because of the SPA, but I think it's because of the beautiful appearance of the chef Yamakawa and the many delicious dishes. Especially black abalone and beef stew are the best❣ I will come back again. This hotel is the biggest surprise of our trip to Sane County, no one! The whole hotel is surrounded by mountains and sea, the building is an Italian-style castle, the interior is retro but very bright! The room is with a balcony, facing the sea and trees, to be cured! I booked a package that included two meals and one berth and stayed for two nights. It turned out that the first day dinner was French and six-course, and the next day dinner was kaiseki; we chose Japanese for both breakfasts, because it was too luxurious and they were as rich as dinner. In the evening, I also soaked in hot springs with my daughter ♨️; The hotel's service is very abundant, really wholeheartedly recommended!

We stayed in a sea view room, from the room you can see the beautiful sea and mountains, the glass in the room is very clean, and the overall cleaning is very good. Thanks to a waitress named Meng who was Chinese when I checked in, she helped us as a translator, which made us go through the formalities smoothly. Miss Meng also told us the place to eat breakfast and dinner, the time and place of the hot spring, if there is no help from Miss Meng, We will encounter a lot of difficulties, because this hotel is very large and bustling, walking like a maze, like such an international tourist hotel too need people who can speak Chinese. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are very special, especially dinner, as well as roast beef and seafood, which is great! The location of the hotel is excellent. It takes only three minutes to get out of the Bird's Station. There is also a sightseeing bus terminal and a cruise ship terminal next to it. It is very convenient to go to various tourist attractions. There are many hot springs in the hotel, forming a hot spring village, which is very characteristic.

The location is close considering the distance from the station, but I think it's okay for a moment because there is no sidewalk on the way. But I arrived unexpectedly soon when I walked along the track. The children were very happy with the wifi. It was good because there was no connection in the hotel or the speed was very slow even if it was connected. I stayed at a night stay without meals, but the nearby shops were delicious and the price was reasonable and the answer was great. The hot spring of the hotel is pleasant, it seems to be a hot spring, or it is a skin touch that I think is different at the moment I entered, and I stayed here for a night and relaxed in the hot spring It was Taisho that the meal was served in a local delicious shop It was a solution.

Overall okay, Let me talk about the shortcomings. 1. Drive for 4 minutes from Kintetsu Toba Station and call the hotel to pick it up. There are no convenience stores nearby, the nearest one is in Toba Station. 2. The arrangement of serving dinner is not reasonable. It's almost finished, and the rice won't move. 3. There is only one open-air wind, which is rotated every day. This open-air one can see the sea view. 4. Too expensive, the overall cost is not high. advantage, 1. The room has a sea view. Although it is not as good as the sea view of Shimoda, it is OK. 2. The room is quite large and spacious. 3. The hot spring facilities are relatively complete, including towels, face toners and lotions. 4. They have mountain village milk. You must buy this and drink it at any time. On the next itinerary, we only saw three bottles in the convenience store of Xiandao Station. The fruity flavor is particularly delicious.

Have loved Toba for many years..and stayed at the Toba Grand many times. Only on 1 occasion was I lucky enough to stay in a Sakura room on the 8th floor…but not so lucky on this my last stay in Toba. The good points: 1.Free shuttle to/from the hotel and the driver handed out wet towels on this occasion 2.Welcome drinks in the lobby 3.A good selection of food for dinner & breakfast 4.The hot spring baths are good. The bad points: 1.The hotel is badly in need of refurbishment in the rooms on 6th & 7th floors/Badly stained & old windows and the room and bathroom/toilet are out of date. 2.The restaurant area is really dirty in certain places and insects can be seen running about!The were too many families with young children here this time and the restaurant was crowded all the time it seemed. 3.The Japanese staff have no English language skills…but the abundance of Nepalese staff at this hotel at present helps a little in that regard. This hotel has a wonderful location…and if you want to look out at the water then it is good…but as mentioned Toba seems to be a neglected area in many respects…and this is certainly true for this hotel at present.
