I stayed at RIU Guadalajara for 4 nights in August 2022. I will stay there again on my next trip. My room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and refreshed everyday by 'Helga'. Breakfast was included in my rate and it was well worth the money. I dined on the patio overlooking the city and enjoyed my morning coffee in the morning breeze. The buffet has everything you'd want for breakfast or brunch and the service is excellent. The waiters brought want you wanted without interrupting your meal. Highly recommended!

When you read their description of that's available and you think ”we should stay here!”, you might want to think twice. They say: Enjoy our 780 sq. ft. The Serenity Bed includes an exclusive Suite Dreams mattress and box springs, Super Topper mattress pad, down duvet, Touch of Down pillows, linen program, as well as custom decorative bed throws and bolster pillow.” What we got: No mini bar (when we asked for it, they brought a refrigerator...with nothing in it.) No separate toilet and shower, it was all one room and was dirty. No lounge with hors d'oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages and honor bar. No continental breakfast And no one seemed to care. It was so sad.

The hotel is in a good section of Guadalajara across from Expo, near Plaza Del Sol, and central to most parts of the city. My room was large, modern, and very comfortable with a large bathroom as well. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are handicapped designed but the toilet is real low with no grab bars. It would be real difficult, if not nearly impossible, for a person in a wheelchair to use it. And, the toilet is so low that parts of the male anatomy actually touch the water. As for breakfast, there is a really nice buffet. There was the usual American fare with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, bread for toast, muffins, and more. Mexican food was abundant with chicken in mole sauce, Milanese res, a pork dish, and several more. Add in cereals, fruit, yogurts, salads, and fresh squeezed juices. And, it was all very good. I would stay here again the next time I return to Guadalajara.

We stayed for a week at this hotel. The location is centralized and right next to the Plaza del Sol, a large open air shopping center. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. At all times we felt the staff cared and did what they could to help us enjoy our stay. The breakfast at the Cafe Urbano was outstanding with a wide array of freshly prepared and delicious food. The service at the Cafe Urbano deserves special mention. We tried the French restaurant and enjoyed it; tasty French bistro style food and good wine. The club level service was very good, with two hours of a very fine wine. We were pleased with the upgrade that we received due to IHG diamond status; the room had a living room and a ridiculous bathroom. Not many cons; the pool is underwhelming and there did not seem to be many guests. All and all, we felt the famous IHG hospitality and recommend.

Food at the hotel wasn't very good but it was cheap hotel was in a relatively good location but the rooms didn't look like the pictures. There's a lot of junk on the same floor as the swimming pool. The curtains could use a good cleaning the room doesn't look sparkly. I like the colonial architecture and the location but I would not stay there again I would stay someplace a little nicer. My room was also pretty small.

Hotel is in a prime location in the La Gourmeteria Center. Everything is within reach. High end, delicious, restaurants, bars, movie theatre. Super friendly staff. There's a donut shop right in front. Easy access to the main road or bus stop within a few blocks.

It looks a lot better in person than it does on their website. It was walking distance from the Historic Center which is where the Cathedrals are located. Great customer service. The food was okay.,but I wouldn't choose to eat there again. But overall my experience was fantastic.

It is located in Tonala which is 10 minutes from the bus station. Many times when I take a bus to San Miguel I’ll break the trip up and spend night! The personnel is friendly and helpful. Only stayed there for one night, so find a cheap hotel for a night. Originally looking for a place near the airport, Ctrip's information was wrong, not 1.7 kilometers, but went to 17/20 kilometers. Fortunately, Ctrip promised to return the transportation expenses, and the Uber called is not expensive. The hotel is still clean, it is too old and too simple, and a temporary transfer is OK.
