Great place from the outside! Pricing for drinks is just crazy (22MAD for 500ml of water), foods are great. No experience with the rooms. The staff is very kind. You need to pay the entrance fee even if you are there for the restaurant. You go there one time!

The room was so cold that we could hardly sleep, and the hot water for the shower was only lukewarm. I would not have minded a cold room so much if I had been able to warm up in the morning. Also no wifi in bedrooms. This place is, however, in a beautiful location.

Your first view of this Kasbah is as good as the views from inside. The Kasbah was apparently built in the 13th century and at some stage fell into disrepair. The present owners have spent the last 25 years carrying out extensive renovation work. Only a small element forms part of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and well furnished as are the communal areas and the dining room. There is an excellent outdoor seating area with panoramic views. We had dinner at the hotel which was very good indeed as was the service. The Kasbah has free private parking.

It was a brilliant place to stay. Think we got lucky as it was around 25 deg by day and still around 20 deg by night so warm all the time. The views of the mountains were stunning and the rock climbing just as good. Some good bird life too. Ida Ougnidif is also well worth a visit. The Kasbah itsef was very comfortable with very interesting passage ways and a very relaxing terrace to rest on. We will return.

Interesting experience but felt a bit like donating to charity. Lovely old place, loved the way the luggage is winched up in a basket. The room was spacious, pillows like concrete and blankets grotty. Food was good but management should be upfront about what is regarded as extras as had unpleant suprise when it came to pay. It was already an expensive option of where to stay.

Second time staying here, fantastic experience and location. It's a ancient monument being restored in a unspoilt traditional part of Berber Morocco that is experiencing year 5 of drought, so don't expect Western Luxury. The team are brilliantly friendly, I can't understand the bad reviews. Excellent location for climbing and exploring

Fantastic welcome by Abdul and delicious tea and coffee for the adults and hot chocolate for the children. The guest house was beautiful and authentic. Really impressive restoration work in this kasbah. Would recommend a trip from Agadir to here.

This guest house is a scam! When will people heed other negative reviews which expose this rapacious man and stop entering this place even for a visit, never mind staying overnight? Avoid this place completely. I ignored the reviews and, as a result, had a spoilt holiday. When I booked a room (their cheapest room cost €61.20) via booking-com website, I was offered to have a dinner for €32 for two people. I agreed and reserved a dinner; and paid this man €93.20 (that is 1,030 Moroccan dirham) in advance. His page on booking-com website says: “All the rooms at Tizourgane Kasbah have garden or mountain views. Guests are offered mint tea upon arrival. Free wired internet is available in the communal lounge.” All that information is false. We were offered no tea upon arrival. Internet was available only for the first 20 minutes near the owner’s office while he was sitting in that office. It is true what other reviewers said: when this extremely stingy owner goes out of his office, the wi-fi is switched off. There was not internet access at all other times in any parts of the property. None of the rooms have views, as they have tiny windows with darkened glass through which nothing can be seen. The rooms have very little light. The room was uncomfortable and with no place even to put a suitcase or clothes! Electric sockets are torn out with bare wires. The lampshades were twisted and repaired with tape — I was frightened to touch them. More importantly, all rooms were freezing and without ANY heating. I could see that our room had holes in the ceiling through which day light could be seen. During the night it was frost -3°C outside, and it became +2°C in the room. It was unbearably and severely cold, we could not sleep all night due to cold — there was no heating whatsoever. There was total lack of comfort. In the bathroom we did not have hot water at all — sometimes water in the shower was barely lukewarm, at all other times it was just cold water from both taps. As it turned out on the following morning (I will come to that nasty incident below), the extremely miserly owner of this guest-house deliberately rations hot water, switches on the boiler for a very limited time, and even then he reduced its temperature. Too bad not to invest in a better system as it was already cold in December and the cold shower is very difficult in the morning. The shower in the bathroom with no glass surround or curtain, and a plastic shower head is attached in the middle of a wall, so the entire bathroom becomes wet when you shower in cold water. You have to stand in a poodle of cold water on cold tiles in a freezing room; there is not any way to dry the floor, and the bathroom remains flooded and unusable for 24 hours. As I mentioned, no promised free welcome tea was given on arrival. With regard to dinner, which I booked for €32 for two people, we were told that there is a set menu, and it is impossible to choose any dishes: you either take it or go away. W

What a great place to stay! An ancient walled village perched on a rock with incredible views of the mountains and the night sky. Delicious home made bread and home cooked food with rooms full of character.
