Amazing location & clean, comfortable room. We booked in for dinner which was a little disappointing as there was a 90minute wait for mains, with no warning when ordering via the QR code as instructed. When the meals came they were small portions and and overcooked (steak & chips). They did appear to be short-staffed.
We had also booked in for breakfast (The full works) so had low expectations, but actually we only waited 30mins, which was perfect as it gave us chance to have a hot drink and pastries beforehand & the breakfast portion was wonderful and very tasty!
To be honest, the location was so fab, I will definitely return in the future.

We have family living nearby so Fisherman Cot is ideal for us. We have stayed here before and will stay again when we visit the family. Its always clean and comfortable rooms. The food is acceptable and breakfast is lovely.

Bar and Restaurant are an enjoyable experience with friendly staff.
Accommodation is tired and in need of a refresh. Broken ceramic centre on the hot water tap, heating control on shower is loose and comes apart.
Upside, ground coffee offered in the rooms with plenty of milk

Fishermans Cot is situated in a truly beautiful position beside the River Exe. Many of the roads in the area are very narrow and demading, especially if you are unable to occasionally reverse on meeting a caravan in tow or a wide vehicle. Food at the hotel was good in quality apart from the Continental Breakfast that had a poor and very limited variety of items. Staff were very friendly and attentive; accommodation warm, clean and comfortable and overall value and eg bar prices competitive.
