Absolutely DIGUSTING and a joke of a 'hotel' I advise you all to avoid Grand hotel continental in Terrania Tuscancy . There is nothing 'grand' about the hotel. I cannot understand for the life of me how this has the status of 4 stars. I along with my family witnessed first hand rudeness whereby staff talk down to you. They are unwilling to tend to your basic needs. We arrived at the hotel a few hours behind schedule due to issues out of our control. We were met by an unpleasant uncooperative receptionist who seemed irritated by my questions. I was hoping to have clarification in regards to pool opening/closing time and housekeeping times. He was non-chalant in his replies and seemed clearly bothered communicating with me and didn't know how to respond. We indeed had on-going issues with housekeeping as she failed to clean our rooms for 3 out of the 5 days. We spoke to her and suddenly she became uncommunicative and almost zombie- like & suddenly didn't understand us when I had clearly viewed her communicating freely with ease amongst other guests. We requested for fresh sheets and towels, we were made to feel guilty for wanting our rooms cleaned and she refused to do this. We complained at reception and she was fairly pleasant and informed us she would pass this onto management ( we obviously didn't hear anything) On a separate occasion (due to the lack of towels & cleanliness in our room) we requested for more towels and was met with the response ' again?!' Absolute rudeness, I was held back from complaining from my family member (how dare you talk to us with disrespect!) I got the impression the staff are unable to accommodate in a fair & decent manner to guests who are paying a lot of money. The staff created segregation with failure to tend to our wants and BASIC needs. The rooms are unclean, basic shower room, tiny beds for a dwarf. We requested (on our first night) for a blanket we were offered with a tiny sheet. The A/C hardly worked and other guests also openly complained in the lobby. The rooms smelt like someone had died in there, damp, disgusting odour. We were given no basic necessities such as tea/coffee or even an iron. They have a dingy iron room but you need to walk down a dark corridor as they have turned the lights off to save electricity. Then you may iron (if you make it safely that is!) We feel and know we have wasted our time & money on a supposedly 4 star resort. Also, avoid the POMPOUS restaurant if you can. We had booked for half board meaning breakfast & dinner included yet they miraculously didn't have our room number written. whilst they pretended to look busy 'trying' to accommodate us with a table. Extremely disorganised and unprofessional. Of course we walked out and instead went out to eat. I must warn you the resort look's better on paper as there are only a handful of restaurants. Stayed here for 1 night in August to see Pisa before flying home after a wedding holiday, and we honestly could have stayed for a week. It was perfect to be able to relax and decompress after a busy trip in such an impressive hotel with pool grounds on the edge of Pisa. It was easy to get in and out of the centre of Pisa, the walk was fine in the day (you do have to use an underpass but plenty of other people are also using it). At night we opted for taxis, the underpass had a bit to do with this but also it was just easier for us all dressed for dinner. Our room honestly felt like luxury, this place is an absolute gem for those who want a high standard hotel whilst seeing Pisa. would 10000% recommend. Only criticism - the roof is underused. There's a disused bar that's completely empty and a handful of seats. We couldn't believe this as it was absolutely beautiful at sunset. They could definitely utilise this more to give the hotel that extra wow factor. We'd have definitely made us of it if it were running.

Campeggio tenuto in condizioni perfette. Gestione minuziosa e attenta a ogni singola esigenza. La pulizia è impeccabile e nelle aree comuni non è affatto scontato. Spiaggia tenuta dal bagnino Angelo in modo encomiabile, ordinata, pulita e ben organizzata. Spritz buonissimi al bar. Ristorante buono e con prezzi onesti. Nulla da dire. Sicuramente da tornare 😃

The hotel is not so bad, but is a short 600 m from the beach, but the staff is the most unfriendly thing I've ever met! A non-functioning air conditioning (at more than 30 degrees of outdoor temperature) and a loose toilet cover that I reported from 2.Tag in the reception were not offered until our departure. There was also another room at this place. greater shortcomings! I'm used to Mercure a different type of hotels and also staff!!!! I don't want to talk about the quality, selection and presentation of breakfast's! That there's not yet anyone got sick is surprised me! Uncooled and open S*****es and cheese on the plates and butter is almost liquid

Please stay somewhere else! Learn from our mistake. This may be a photogenic building, but its a soulless, slow, sloppy, faded and, in our case, very expensive place. On arrival we went to the bar for a late lunch. About 25 minutes after Simone had taken our order I asked where our food was? Simone said that he was busy, (only 1 other table was occupied) but he was just going to go and prepare it (...!). I told him to fuggeddaboudit; he complained that it wasnt his fault: he is the waiter & chef. (Is this really supposed to be 5 star service hotel?). We left, and apart from breakfast, we avoided eating in the hotel. (Break fast was fine - because it is self service - but do they really need the squeaky breadgrill with its high pitched irritating squeak?). We were 2 parents with a 5&7 year old. Our room was €650 a night (!). They upgraded us to a suite (so how bad was our original room?). The suite was nice, spacious, elegant but barely a €300 a night accomodation. The wifi was slow, intermittent and some areas with no coverage, which was very frustrating. Tip: get Starlink wifi throughout. In bed I noticed hopping fleas - maybe they were attracted to the mobile phone screen. After I complained, I was told that the room had since been checked, sheets changed and no fleas found - but I still found more the next night and our daughter got 3 bites. Even a week later the hotel calls me at home to assure me that there were no fleas (?) I should have read more reviews before I booked and noted how Thomas the GM notes the criticisms are fabrications.... IMO this hotel grossly devalues The Leading Hotels of the World brand. Pity. Its a decent 3 star hotel at best. I informed the staff about the issues early in our stay. I chased them up again and they apologised and offered me free spa treatment - no thanks: I just want them to fix the issues and make this an enjoyable 3 star hotel. Its never going to be a proper 4 of 5 star and Leading Hotels of the World should drop this as the only 5 star attribute are the prices. Its a rip off for what it is.

I booked this hotel after seeing another reviewer say that they stayed here as a solo female traveller and found it clean and safe. I would echo this reviewer's comments. I stayed here for five nights, and used Pisa as a base to travel to other places (namely Lucca, Firenze, and Siena) so wanted somewhere within a reasonable walking distance of the train station as I envisioned returning to the hotel when it was dark. I took the 'Pisa mover' shuttle from the airport to Pisa Centrale station (which cost €5 and took around 5 minutes), and then the walk to Hotel Bologna with my suitcase was in pretty much a straight line through the main square and down paved and well lit streets. It took around 7 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. I arrived at Hotel Bologna at around 10:00 and was able to leave my suitcase in a secure room (no charge) whilst I spent the day exploring Pisa. I came back around 18:00, collected my case, and formally checked in (although I could have checked in at 13:30) before heading out for dinner. Staff were mainly young and male, and were pleasant and spoke very good English. I was allocated room 16 which was on the first floor and overlooked the small car park and a patio area. There was no external noise apart from the odd aeroplane which cannot be helped anywhere in Pisa, although I imagine that (1) people might use the patio for drinks in better/warmer weather which would bother me if they were rowdy; and (2) people in the rooms which overlook the road at the front of the hotel (Via Giuseppe Mazzini) might experience a bit of traffic noise. The internal walls seemed quite thin and I suspect that the bathroom of the adjoining room was located right next to my bed as it was noisier than expected when they were having a shower and talking in the bathroom. However, luckily, the people next door weren't particularly noisy and showered at a reasonable time, so it didn't bother me per se. I stayed in a single room (single bed with en-suite) which was definitely big enough for just myself/did not feel cramped. The room was decorated in a more 'traditional Tuscan style' (think greens, reds, and golds) so not particularly 'instagram worthy' but neither am I. The room and bathroom felt and were kept very clean by housekeeping, as were the bedding and towels. The bathroom contained a toilet, shower cubicle with sliding doors, bidet, sink with large mirror, tissue dispenser, sanitary bag dispenser, toilet brush, bin with lid, and hairdryer. You receive complimentary shampoo, body wash, intimate wash, vegetable based soap bar, shower cap, and shoe sponge. In the bedroom there is another bin and a desk and chair with large mirror. Underneath the desk is a mini fridge containing a range of drinks and snacks, which I removed and instead used the fridge to store my own food and drink which I purchased from a Carrefour Express minimart which was a circa 5 minute walk away near the main shopping street. I booked one day to just sleep over at this place, but really loved its service and the facilities. Breakfast was tasty and had multiple options. The only minus is the location, which is around 25 minutes' walk to the city center and 40 minutes to the railway station.

we stayed here for one night - it's an ok hotel, walking distance from the train station which was a priority for us. The rooms were clean and in reasonable order and the breakfast was good. The one issue for us was the noise of the elevator - we were in room 112 which is located next to the elevator shaft - it was noisy as the lift seemed to be operating throughout the night.
