It was amazing me and my wife left coming there the places I was clean the staff is amazing. The pool is beautiful we always have nice guest next to us. And the hospitality is 100%

Nice hotel fairly conveniently located with easy and reasonably quick access to major beaches from Sandy Hook park to Belmar, and other attractions in the area. Very well maintained, however if you stay longer than one night you need to ask for service at the reception. Rooms are rather compact with tight living area. Coffee machine, microwave and fridge located in a well designed arrangement, only the fridge is extremely limited capacity. Beds are very comfy. Bathrooms are spacious and convenient. Breakfast is optional and is offered by a third party (Starbucks) with limited and somewhat overpriced menu. Parking is fixed price, $5 for the entire stay, with ample space.

Not far from Long Beach, the conditions are better than motels, with complete facilities nearby, free parking, vending machines and microwaves

Great day except being charged for parking.
It was a great stay for the night with my boyfriend. Little did I know when checking out, I got charged $5 and change for parking! Nobody said anything to me while checking. My boyfriend said he saw cars having passes. Where was ours? Why didn’t anyone offer it?

This place is awesome. When we come to visit and not staying with family in Jersey. This will be our go to place to stay. Service is wonderful. Room very clean. Highly recommend.

Everything was clean and fairly updated. Outside patio looked like it would be fun in the summer time!
Very basic room but the bed was comfortable and shower nice and warm.
Gym was fine and had a water cooler.
The only downside was the advertisement of breakfast options. It's always a disappointment to not have continental breakfast but on top of that they have a huge and cozy dining spot with a breakfast bar with little to no options. It costs money too.

Disappointed with our stay. While the hotel was clean and the beds comfortable, the staff and service left much to be desired.
We booked five rooms for a youth hockey tournament. Check-in was frustrating, staff was unwelcoming, and although we arrived at 1pm, we were told rooms wouldn’t be ready until 4pm. We were eventually allowed to check in early, but only after paying a fee. Rooms were fine, though missing linens for the pullout couch (quickly resolved by housekeeping).
The worst part was the “bistro.” We chose this hotel partly for the on-site dining, but when we arrived at 7:30am, it was closed, despite being told it would be open from 7–10. Worse, the assistant GM, Brian Smith, rudely informed us we couldn’t even sit in the common area due to a private reservation.
As a 6U hockey coach and team manager who will be traveling to the area frequently over the next decade, I can confidently say I won’t be staying at this Sonesta Select again thanks to Brian.

The hotel was convenient and reasonably priced. It inexplicably has a $5 parking fee which isn’t typical for suburban hotels but is disclosed on ******* so it is what it is. The staff was polite and efficient and everything was pretty much what you expect for the pricepoint. The only real issue we had was that the room smelled like mildew even with the fan on the ac unit running continuously. It wasn’t bad enough to ask for another room given that we were just sleeping and heading out but if we were staying longer we would have. There were also some rowdy guests making noise after midnight but the management was on top of that from what we could tell—handling it quickly and adding some signage about expectations.
