The hotel is in a nice area, but unfortunately the parking situation is terrible. There is one parking lot on a sloped road, owned by the hotel, which we didn't know we could use. Very narrow road and not clearly signaled. The other parking close by only accepts coins. Room is small. Worth staying for the view, which is breathtaking.

Fabulous overnight stay at the Port William. The room was comfortable with an amazing sea view. The facilities and toiletries provided were top drawer. The food was equally as good. I chose the catch of the day which was a whole plaice, perfectly cooked. My wife chose a really tasty vegetarian option. We were fortunate to get an amazing inside sea view table and watched the sunset with a bottle of red wine. Breakfast the following morning was plentiful and perfectly cooked. My wife commented that the hot vegan breakfast was excellent. The staff at the Inn are friendly and attentive, they are happy to talk and provide advice and information. A bonus is free parking for hotel guests beside the building.

Was shown a dining table by the landlady who stayed a member of staff would be over to take the order. No other diners there at this point. No member of staff came, however they did seat other guests, bring them water to the table (not given to me) and then took their orders. Still nothing. Land lady busy with sorting her website out at a table. Still no member of staff came. I waited for 45 minutes. Went to the bar to order where one member of staff was making coffees for a customer, two other members walking around behind the bar but not one of them offered to help. I departed and had a lovely meal elsewhere.

I chose this venue because it is an inn (I love pub atmosphere and good food) and because it had good reviews and, above all, because of the view. We booked for two nights to experience the sunsets and walk part of the coastal path. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to see the sunsets as planned because on the first night it was cloudy and we had to leave earlier due to a tube strike in London, since we were traveling there for a concert. Even so, I loved hearing the sea battering against the rocks; I left the window open during the night, and I can still hear it now… what a mesmerizing feeling. Dinner was excellent we both took fish and chips and it was finger-licking good), and breakfast was superb. The room and en suite were on the smaller side but were good for a one or two nights. We enjoyed the amenities provided. The gentleman who served us dinner (whose parents are from Birmingham) was very professional and attentive—he really looked after us and is clearly an asset to the inn. Pity we didn't take his name. Parking for hotel guests is also a big plus. Wished we could interact more with the staff (as we did during our previous stays in B&Bs) but they were very busy. We will definitely return—not necessarily for the accommodation, but for the drinks, the food, and that incredible VIEW! Do stay a night or two and drift off to sleep with the window open to the sound of the sea—it’s truly mesmerizing. It is unforgettable.

Nice hotel and restaurant with great sea views. Perfect location, 4 miles from Tintagel. Very clean and comfortable room, although smaller than expected for a King sea view. Great amenities in room and nice large towels. Breakfast is outstanding. Wonderful restaurant menu and service in evening too. We loved it there. Parking can be difficult.

A small group of us (three sets of couples) recently visited Port William for 3 nights. The staff were incredibly welcoming and could not be more helpful. The premises were idyllic, being a stones throw away from the beach! And the food was stunning! I cannot recommend this place enough if you are considering having a relaxing stay in Cornwall!

Everything with the accommodation was wonderful. On our initial arrival, we were shown to our room, then were shown the fire escape routes. We were then asked if we wanted a reservation for dinner as we'd travelled over 200 miles to the inn. Breakfast every morning was lovely with the window tables used every morning so you could watch the waves as brekkie was eaten. Housekeeping and hospitality teams also must get a mention as it was my 55th, but wasn't mentioned. Housekeeping must have seen my birthday cards whilst tidying our room, which then resulted in us returning to our room to find balloons, a card and two small bottles of wine with glasses. Thankyou so much and we look forward to returning. We already miss going to sleep and not hearing the waves every night with the window open..

Great position, clean, comfortable room with sea and sunset views. Great if you like dogs but an excessive number during my stay, disruptive in the dining room and everywhere outside. Room smelled a bit doggy too. Food was talked up but I found it mediocre, smallish portions and overpriced. Disappointed by the rocky location, where the beach was only exposed for a few hours each tide.
