Anthea Hotel

We booked this ‘spa’ hotel as a treat whilst island hopping in Greece. We had high expectations given that it was much more costly than other accommodation offered and based on services advertised on their website.Unfortunately our experience at this hotel was disappointing and underwhelming. Cleanliness was lacking both in the room and facilities-the outdoor jacuzzi had to be pre booked so that they could remove the dead bugs floating in it. As for a peaceful spa hotel we found the opposite, as a soccer team of teenage boys overtook the pool and the restaurant each morning. We also had to complain due to the noise after midnight. Location was very remote, unless you have a car the dark walk home from Tinos town in the evening is definitely not recommended. Overall, this hotel did not live up to its advertised standards and was not worth the rate we paid.

Beautiful hotel with a relaxing atmosphere and genuinely nice people (thanks Lisa, Yorgos and all the staff)! Spacious, clean rooms, very good breakfast with fresh fruit, local cheeses and yoghurt, lovely pool! I would definitely come back!

This hotel is absolutely disgusting not only is there rotting walls and holes everywhere there is cockroaches and bed bugs I asked to be moved after being bitten over a dozen times by bed bugs and the staff at reception refused to help he also offered me a plaster like that would help and refused to give me the managers number but from reading reviews the manager is useless as well please avoid this hotel at all cost it needs a health and safety check which would most definitely lead to it shutting down i wouldn’t expect a wild animal to stay here it’s disgraceful if I could rate it with no stars I would it don’t even deserve the one

We stayed here as a family in July 23. The location was close to the beach but a drive from the town. The hotel itself is great. The rooms were clean and had basic amenities which were all fine. The pool and pool area is terrific. It’s a boutique hotel and the staff are very friendly and really take care to make sure you have whatever you need. The breakfast is divine and we really enjoyed the local produce served each morning.

Really lovely small and friendly hotel. Spacious and clean rooms, all with outside space. The hotel is not right on the beach so rooms on higher floors have better views. The pool is lovely and deep and they make a great mojito at the bar. Buffet breakfast has a great range of hot and cold food, cereals and baked goods. Local cured meats and cheeses too. Didn’t use the spa facilities but they look great. Dinner was simple but with excellent fresh ingredients and really flavourful (and no more expensive than nearby restaurants). Great for people who like a simple, stylish place to stay.

I think it is one of the best places to stay. The ladies at the reception offer a great customer experience. The breakfast is excellent. The most important thing is that you feel like home. The building fits the Cyclades environment.
