Sipi Falls Lodge

Lovely place at total world class views. This is not an upscale lodge but good enough for pleasant stay. Staff is super friendly, food is top notch and value for price is excellent. The views are really worth of staying couple nights easily not forgetting all the activities around. You will not regret your stay.

The pictures don't reflect the reality, the lodge is very basic. The wi fi works badly or not at all, the power cuts are continuous, so if you want a cold drink, forget it. The bathroom and shower are very sketchy, the water is often very cold. The food on offer is always the same, very few vegetarian options. Good for a stay of one night, maximum two. The view, on the other hand, is wonderful; the lodge is right opposite the third Sipi waterfall (starting from the bottom). The activities on offer are interesting, from the hike to the waterfalls to the coffee discovery tour.

The place to stay in Sipi Falls The best place to stay in Sipi Falls, with really impressive views of the highest fall around. Sam (the general manager) and his team are really nice and will make you feel at home for sure. Just make sure that you book for your Sipi Falls activities with Moses or any other guide directly advised by Sam (and no any other guide that comes directly to you) in order to make the most out of your visit to Sipi.

Don't stay here! We have been to Sipi multiple times over the years. Have never stayed here and would definitely not recommend it. We were 2 families with kids. I had booked 2 suites. When we arrived, there were multiple staff members hanging out in the outdoor dining room/reception area but no one came to greet us. I have never had a hospitality experience like that in Uganda. I went to the reception desk and 2 staff members looked confused when I told them I was there to check in. It was clear they were not expecting us and had no record of our reservation. Wifi was broken and cell service was poor but I managed to pull up our reservation to counter their suggestion that maybe I had booked at their hotel in Mbale town. Then it became clear that, not only had they not expected us nor have our rooms ready, but that they actually do not even have 2 suites on the property. We eventually got that sorted and settled on their 1 suite and another banda (1 twin/1 double bed). When I suggested that we had been misled and overpaid for 2 suites, I was told that all rooms are the same price- which is certainly not true based on this website. Later in the evening, we ordered dinner at their restaurant. They have an extensive menu but the food took more than 2 hours to arrive, which was quite frustrating. We pre-ordered breakfast for the following morning, as we had to depart quite early, and this was served 30 minutes later than we had asked for. All in all, quite a disappointment.
