My mom was impressed by the excellent service provided by the staff from the porter to the front desk to waiters at Makan Cafe. Our dinner was delicious. I personally commend a friendly and helpful staff stationed at Makan Cafe , En Syarifuddin, who patiently recommended to my mom and I the types of food in the menu. He went the extra mile to ensure food was served on time. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The place was beautiful and the weather was mild. We hope to visit again soon

I stay in hard rock over than 10 times , lagoon deluxe room , I very like it ,comfort , especially the food...mamamia ....very nice...for my kids swim and play it's such a good an relaxing place for my family

I came here alone for staycation. Just need a rest from hectic life. I book for 1 night and plan to move to another hotel for the next day. However coz the bed is super comfy and room also with modern looks, I decided to extend for another night. Really enjoyed my stay. The only things I dislike coz the tv channel does not have much option. For staycation I love if the tv has many channel coz I just wanna stay in bed and enjoy watching movies. Maybe the hotel also can consider to add device that allow screen mirroring so I can play my fav movie on the tv

This is my second time staying in Parkroyal Penang, everything was fine, except the bathroom water trap, shower half way the water stucked there, I think the housekeeping should clean the trap for a regular basis to avoid it to happens. Breakfast session was quite crowded although it was not holiday season, foods was average, there are plenty more can be improved. I personally like the beach very much especially on sunset. I will definitely be back again in near future.

Loved my stay! We were soooo happy to be upgraded to a room with a view that was sooooo spacious! Stayed there for four nights over nye and had a great view of the fireworks!! My only complaint would be that there isn’t a Nespresso coffee machine in the room (which is a surprise given that most hotels now offer them) nor do they provide cotton wool (isn’t that also a basic provision?). Do note that the hotel doesn’t provide complimentary bottled water either, and only tap with filtered water… however I did appreciate them giving out mint water/ pandan bluepea water in the afternoon for guests (wished that it’s all day long!) at the lobby.

Brand new building and room, so everything still clean and well-maintained. Breathtaking views from the room's window, all you can see is sea and skies! One only complain is, unfortunately we found someone's panty (maybe from the previous guest) still hanging behind the bathroom's door 😬 But overall, good stay.

Helpful and friendly staff Decent location Average breakfast but limited for vegetarian/vegan or those looking for healthier options It say was renovated recently, but perhaps that was just the pool area (which was nice) as rooms were a little dated Gym ok but A/C not working so very hot in there, many equipment broken or not working but had enough to work out so better than nothing. Right on the beach but not sure it’s worth the price… Better for families I think ~

The hotel is very old located in the center of George Twon closer to seaside. I have booked family room. Space and lay out is ok but 2 issues, 1 the inner parents room has a large empty space by the window (seaview the say but hardly seeing tho) we were puzzled why no pair of sofa chairs with a tea table, what is this space for? Super odd... 2 the connecting door for two rooms doesn't close well, not saying the lock doesn't work, no no, the door can't even able to be fully shut. Services is almost zero. Don't count on it. All in all besides the location and fact has family room options, I don't have anything else to write home about this hotel. Oh and the sound proof is zero too, not saying between our 2 rooms. I basically had bad sleep whole 4 nights stay cos outside in the hall almost never stopped having doors open/shutting and people loudly talking/walking by noises... Won't book again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was super friendly and it was super easy to communicate with them. I loooove looooooved the room and how clean it was. I will definitely be staying here again.
