The front desk service of the hotel is very good. It will speak Mandarin and Cantonese. It will tell you where the main push is in Penang. In the evening, you will put sugar on the bed. The parking space is on a first-come, first-served basis. You can buy a parking ticket. The afternoon tea is very good. Very good, a lot of food nearby
THE CENTURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL (George Town)
4.3/527 Reviews
First experience with capsule hotel bed and dormitory with 3 other lovely female travellers. Fortunately, it was an experience exceeding all expectations!! First WOW - look at all the cultural heritage, beautiful art, antique items and furniture, the Feng Shui Koi pond, water fountain, greenery! OMG- better than visiting a museum- you get to live and experience it!!! Second WOW- looking for street food? Walk around and you see stalls selling the local delish: SATAY, Lok Lok, Char Hor Fun and other stalls. Also, the handicraft stores with Batik and wooden sculptures! Other amenities : open swimming pool, 3 shower room next to it and hair dryer (tip: the water pressure and shower much more satisfying compared to bathtub or shower inside dorm room, and a game/ relax room filled with couch to wind down after a tiring day. and just Final WOW- the receptionist and staffs are helpful and well-informed! Guests were invited to join in the fun and you can see guests lounging in the open, relaxed and chatting with the staffs! Room for improvement: mosquitoes... can't seem to get rid of them ( so be prepared) and the places are considered clean... but not spotless. I hope this culturally rich building can be well maintained, and the places be properly upgraded even more as it succeeds as one of the most valuable hotel experience in Georgetown 🥰
Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort

I called the day before to request early check-in . Willing to pay extra ofcourse . The man who handles the call said : they will try their best and can check in by 12.30 when the rooms are ready : Upon arrival the lady at the reception desk said sorry your room is not ready . She didn’t say hello , welcome , she did not ask our name or booking information, she didn’t not check anything. How does she know our room isn’t ready if she hasn’t checked the system or asked our names or see our passport. The location and the hotel is at a very very great location. Direct access to the beach . It is a prime spot for foreigners and tourists. But they greatly lack in service and maintenance. Rooms- are stained , mouldy , linen stained and worn out but all things cleaned and the person cleans every day and replenished the used items and gave us new towels . One day we needed to wait for new towels because they had run out . The furniture and carpet needs updating or maintenance. The pool area - they give you towels but you can hardly sit around. It’s full of dirt and ants . They don’t get the staff to wipe down chairs at all , there’s ants crawling everywhere . Chair and benches broken and although direct access to the beach they have a few seats here and there scattered. But you can visibly see the staff of the hotel sat around and inactive . The room - very mouldy, a lot of sounds from electricals at night , black stains and mould all over shower curtain and ceiling , stained carpets , stained sheets and towels . Dusty and dirty outside tables The general surrounding- there’s convenience store , mind you it’s a 4 star hotel but doesn’t come with toothpaste or toothbrush. So we got our own . The LL - lower level has all their broken unused items visible to the customers in the parking lot . Old fridges etc just piled on . There’s a good location can find 3 restaurants across the street and family mart The in-house restaurant offers meals but besides the morning meals included in the package people hardly eat there as the quality of food is not great . There are simple things that they do not take pride in - food was often too oily or burned like the samosas . They don’t take pride in what they do or offer . The general ambience of the hotel was not great although it is such a great hotel prime location and has a lot to offer but a poor experience due to neglect and lack of good service . You find men walking around with their books to look at the problems but no fixing gets done . They didn’t greet or help . The entrance is dull and unappealing. The staff just seem like they do not care about offering 4 star service . There was a beach restaurant and bar which provided good food and entertainment.
PARKROYAL Penang Resort

My second visit of Park Royal Resort, love the environment and vibe here. Family baby friendly especially kids club beach and splash water park. Even adults is enjoy the gym club is 5 star 24 hour, Gustoso italian and breakfast buffet is good. But the cleanliness need to be improve as a 5 star hotel, base on my two times experience when i first check in room are dusty and lot of long hair from previous customer stay. Hope the management and house keeping team can improve this issue. Anyway i did request them to come vacuum again, they are still helpful. And the car parking are full of tree leaves when park overnight, the staff are helpful he offer us to wash our car as well. Overall my stay is fantastic, definitely will come back next time.
St. Giles Wembley Penang

The location is great, walking distance to nearby mall & eateries. Room was spacious & decorated in luxurious style. Toilet was clean & equipped with bath tub which was a plus point for us. Love the breakfast spread that consisted of various nice food choices & the waitresses was very helpful especially to elderly. The only drawback was noise made by nearby hotel/ karaoke area at night. Overall, its worth the money i've paid.
