Amazing view to the sand dunes and oasis.
Pool could be more clean.

A beautiful stay at Gourara, the shortcomings erased by the magnificent setting, the swimming pool and the environment. A large and well-appointed room. The team is attentive.

The staff is perfect, helpful, attentive and responsive.
The hotel is old and poorly maintained.
Too bad, there really is the potential for a real 4 star.
But the details: repair of defective elements and cleaning of the terrace and balcony in particular, could allow this hotel to have a higher level.
I think it is currently a 3 star.
The breakfast is absolutely a continental breakfast and not at the level of a large hotel.
Coffee with milk, croissant, 2 or 3 yogurts, 1 brick of juice and that's it.
Often empty and not replenished.

In room 112 the sink emptied straight onto the bathroom floor. I only discovered my replacement room 103’s extremely leaky shower the next morning. Shower lukewarm. The toilet didn’t leak and flushed OK. Breakfast very poor. Beer fine, sometimes warm. Others in the group tried the pool, OK. Airco worked well; laundry service good. Bed reasonably comfortable. WiFi OK. Keycards a bit dodgy. Overall not to be recommended.

Beautiful structure with swimming pool, garden, large terraces overlooking the palm grove and desert, large common areas inside, decent restaurant, but...the maintenance of the rooms is a disaster: with a temperature of 43 degrees, most of the rooms had air conditioning not working! Then leaky taps, showers that flooded the bedroom, wardrobe doors that were torn off, etc. The staff is actually very kind and does everything they can to make things right, but there are many disasters. On the other hand, local travel agents assure that other hotels are worse, so...
