My first time to Kenya and Lewa Safari Canp exceeded my expectations. From the comfort and privacy of my tent to the outstanding hospitality to the gorgeous grounds. It culminated into an extraordinary experience. Being vegan I was unsure how the food would be. I was blown away. Best food ever - and so much of it! Abdul was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and the wildlife was in great abundance on all the drives. What an amazing place. Thank you again and hope to return soon!

An absolutely stunning camp in the wonderful Lewa Conservancy. The staff here are incredible. I would like to give a special shoutout to my guide Peter who was extremely knowledgeable and tailored the safari to focus on black rhinos (my favorite animal that I came here to see). He found so many of them in addition to many other species including 3 separate leopard sightings! Joy was our apprentice guide and she was equally fantastic. All of the staff here were so friendly and make you feel like you are home. Agnes was our server and she was absolutely amazing! Keen and Linda were the most welcoming hosts. The food here was very delicious and healthy prepared by Shore the most amazing chef! Titus the bartender made the best drinks. The pool was especially relaxing during the rest period between AM and evening game drives. The property is beautiful and the rooms were especially comfortable and clean thanks to the amazing Lydia, our room attendant. There was absolutely nothing bad about our stay and I would 11/10 recommend this camp if planning any trip to Africa. I would come back again and again!

Kenya is beautiful, we try to visit new places whenever we get a chance, have visited many parks and experienced different lodges, but hands down, this was by far the best experience we've had. The attention to personal detail is what sets Lewa safari camp apart from others. All the staff we came in contact with were extremely friendly and accommodating. Ruth, Keen, Chef Masudi , Morris and our guide Abdul. We learnt so much from Abdul. Kudos to the whole team and to Lewa for the work that you're doing in conserving our heritage and wildlife. My girls didn't want to leave!

This was our 3rd camp on our 16 night safari covering both Kenya and Tanzania. We stayed 3 nights. The facility is nice, rooms are great and the food was good. We had some fantastic game viewing including more rhinos than we ever expected to see. So why only 3 stars? The guides. The passion and enthusiasm that our guides had at our previous 2 Elewana camps was entirely lacking. The basics of the games drives were covered and we saw some amazing things. However, there's a noticeable difference between a guide who is passionate about what they are doing vs someone just doing a job. The job got done, but it certainly could have been done better. Unfortunately this seemed a camp-wide issue not limited to our guide. Also, there is an a la carte menu of add-ons that is presented during the check-in process. Felt like cruise ship upsells vs higher end safari camp. In spite of the somewhat off-putting cruise ship-like additional charge, we were interested in doing a night game drive. We brought it up to our guide who basically told us that there's no point in doing it. We won't see much, not worth the time. Based on that we decided not to do it but not because we agreed with what he said. At our previous camps we came back at dark on some of our games drives and in the headlights saw some glimpses of the nocturnal critters. We wanted to see more on a dedicated night game drive however our guide had no interest. Had we purchased, he clearly wouldn't have been happy and our experience would have suffered. Based on the situation, we opted not to do the night game drive but we both feel that was an opportunity missed. As I said in my previous reviews, the guide truly makes or breaks the safari experience.

Once in a lifetime experience in a picturesque landscape close to Mount Kenya. The accommodation was the most luxurious during our Safari. The whole Staff was very friendly and caring. Our personal driver/guide Daniel was very knowledgeable about the local animals and very pleasant as well. Last but not least our waiter Andrew was also such a great person. The Food had Star potential. Everyone spoke perfect English, much better than most German government officials. We will come back next time.

Lewa safari camp is a beautifully managed camp at a rather underwhelming wildlife conservancy. Yes there are white (wide lipped) rhinos and black rhinos and the gravy zebra too. But the animals are scattered and a tad difficult to spot. The park is beautiful and our guide mischeck took great efforts to give us a different experience each day and we did have some good sightings. But I’d recommend this park only for 2 nights. Of course I’d happily stay at lewa safari camp because of its impeccable service. It has a lovely spa and my wife was thoroughly pampered by the therapist ms mercy. Keith the manager was always there to look after us and we looked forward to Celestine welcoming us with cold towels after a drive. The food was great although elephant pepper camp was rather excellent in comparison. The breakfast served at our tent was amazing. Morris was our caretaker at our tent and was impressively efficient. And of course it was Florence who looked after us in such a lovely manner that we felt at home. Thank you Florence for making our stay absolutely lovely. You alongside mischeck gave us a memorable time. Thank you Keith for assigning them to us. If the park itself is underwhelming, this camp is a gem. 5 stars

Lewa Safari Camp with Elewana exceeded all of our expectations, delivering an unforgettable experience. The tent accommodations were beautiful and impeccably clean, with every detail thoughtfully designed for comfort and luxury. One of the highlights of each day was the wake-up call with cappuccinos and biscuits delivered directly to our tent—a perfect start before embarking on a morning game drive. Our guide, George, was phenomenal. His deep knowledge of the wildlife and the surrounding ecosystem added so much to the experience, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had incredible sightings. We were fortunate to enjoy unforgettable moments with elephants, rhinos, lions, a leopard and small herds of the endangered Grevy’s zebra. The quiet, close encounters—often without any other vehicles nearby—made it feel like we had the place to ourselves. George knew just where to place the Land Cruiser for the perfect view. Starting with our drive from the airport, Lewa Downs, we were immediately immersed in the wild life. We saw all the big five within our first two days. George made every game drive memorable. His eyesight is phenomenal, spotting animals at great distances and then getting us upclose to them. The culinary team was outstanding. I have extensive food allergies, and the chefs went out of their way to accommodate me, creating delicious meals that made me feel entirely safe and cared for. From surprise bush breakfasts to sundowners. Every meal was an experience in itself. Our personal tent valet, Freddy, was attentive and always a step ahead, ensuring our stay was seamless and comfortable. Glynn and Keen, who facilitate and manage the camp, clearly run a tight ship and create an atmosphere of warm hospitality and professionalism. Every staff member we encountered was delightful and committed to making our stay unforgettable. We cannot thank the team enough for their exceptional service, knowledge, and kindness. Lewa Safari Camp is a true gem, and we hope to return someday!
