The hotel room was large and clean. It's located outside the city but close enough for a taxi, and the breakfast was good.
The only problem was the service. My prepaid reservation only covered the accommodation, so I paid for breakfast and city tax at the front desk upon check-in. I was in a hurry to check out and didn't have time to get a bill on site. I left an email asking for the bill, but I never received it. I contacted the hotel again, and they said I booked through a platform and asked me to ask for the bill. (The text in bold reads: "Hotel cannot issue it.")
Thinking my English wasn't clear, I sent the bills of other colleagues on a business trip with me, asking for a similar receipt. The hotel never responded to my emails again. 😂

If you are a couple travelling without any children, you should know that this hotel is extremely family friendly. Great for families. Not so great for couples. Pretty busy, families with many children and not the right place for a quiet weekend.

We stayed for three nights to attend Decibel Outdoor which was around 1.5 miles from the hotel. We've stayed in a Van Der Valk hotel before (Eindhoven) and were very impressed so decided to stay in the same chain again. It did not disappoint. We stayed in a comfort room. It was very big & felt quite luxurious. The bathroom had double doors that opened out into the bedroom which was a lovely touch. We also had a balcony. We ate in the restaurant the first night. The food was delicious & so were the cocktails. Breakfast was perfect. You couldn't ask for anything more with so much choice. The hotel also has a small self serve shop where you can buy drinks, snacks & toiletries. It's a little bit pricey but with no other shops in the local vicinity it's very handy. We used the pool on the first day. It's small but it wasn't busy and great for a cool down in the hot weather. My only reason for the 4 stars is the public transport link. The nearest bus stop is quite a walk from the hotel. A taxi from the train station on the first day cost €30 and considering this was a 3km journey I found that very expensive although this is not the hotels fault Would 100% stay here again. Fabulous place

Nice hotel at the edge of Tilburg, nice roomy rooms , just the cleaning of the rooms was so so half was done , they left clean trash-bags… only thing as you can walk from one balcony to the other, a glass wins shutter would make it more safe and more easy for a little smoke as they do have standard ashtray on the balcony

This is the second Van der Valk hotel we have stayed in. We chose this hotel because it is within walking distance of the Decibel Festival.
The hotel is great, and the breakfast is worth the money. We had an evening meal, which was good value for money.
We also used the swimming pool, which was nice.
The hotel is not far from the central station, and I would advise using the bus service followed by a short walk through the park.
I would recommend this hotel to others
