The hotel is being renovated, the room has a new decoration taste, if the room is very noisy by the road, it is noisy all night, if the sleep is not good, it is not recommended, the staff is still warm.

Disadvantages: This hotel is in the city center, the traffic volume is relatively large nearby, the sound insulation effect of the room is not ideal. Another point is that this hotel does not provide breakfast (it is a high-class hotel nearby, after all, the accommodation fee is so high) Advantages: Excellent location, convenient transportation, close to the airport and long-distance bus station. The best place to enjoy the lively, diagonally opposite the hotel is a well-known RIO shopping plaza, which has Adi Nike stores, well-known cosmetics stores, Apple stores, etc., a small partner who knows Spanish, about a Mexican girl. In the Spanish-style love movie (about), there is a Starbucks coffee shop under the hotel. You can have a cup of matcha star ice music (personal preference) in the afternoon. If you can’t sleep at night, you can also think of your sister. Come to the small bar next to the hotel lobby for a drink, and have a good night's sleep. Maybe there will be an affair in your dreams. Last reminder: Tijuana is a relatively bad border city in Mexico (the murder rate of drug abuse is high), so nothing to run around.

We stay at this hotel last night 1/21/2023- Thinking because it’s some what new we should not have any problems. We(me & my husband) are sick with a cold/flu and we’re just needed a place to have a good night rest. Theses rooms do not have heating only air conditioning. We both froze and didn’t even sleep- I did get an extra blanket sent up- but that was not enough. We were gone by 8am. I did call front desk and ask to help set heating in room and that’s when front desk said- NO heat in any rooms. I really wish they would have told us this at check in. As I called to check out, I told front desk, we were not happy at all and feeling even worse than yesterday. She apologized.- asked if we would like free breakfast, but we were so sick we just got our things and left

I loved this hotel from the start ! Beautiful, luxurious and friendly staff . The Boca restaurant had amazing food and offered free breakfast . The rooms were stunning . Comfortable beds and pillow . The halls were a bit thin you can hear a lot but even as a light sleeper I was able to rest . The black out shades were great. The swimming pool was heated as well as the jacuzzi . I would definitely recommend . It felt safe , you can’t go to any floor expect the floor your are in with your key , spa which has a nice little gym next to it and pool floor . The pharmacy was just below it , super convenient and prices were not bad at all . The hospital was right there as well and a ton of restaurants including the ones attached and some across the street . They provide a free shuttle to the line . Absolutely wonderful .

Nice hotel in convenient location for visiting the sights of Avenida Revolucion, but just far enough away from the action to be calmer and quieter than the hotels on the Avenida itself. Our room was clean, quiet, well-decorated and modern. The included breakfast buffet was just OK. My only complaint about the hotel was the staff at the reception desk. When you book a 4 or 5 star hotel, in addition to the better hotel facilities, you expect a certain level of service and professionalism from the staff. The staff here seem to delight in ignoring customers and tooling them around. At first I thought it was just us, but as we sat in the lobby (forced to wait until 3 PM on the dot before they would give us the room), I saw the same behavior played out over and over again to all of the hotel guests. There were three women at the reception counter and over and over new guests would arrive and be ignored for several minutes as the three of them ”made a show” of appearing busy (doodling notes on a scratch pad, walking from here to there in order to do nothing, etc). It was like they were all on a power trip and resented the guests.

I was in this fantastic hotel to celebrate the independence of Mexico from September 15 to 16, this hotel has the largest rooms, comfortable, impeccable, amenities and the best thing is the terrace that is on the top floor with an exceptional view, prices They are very reasonable, but best of all is the great team they have, starting with the reception, everyone is very professional and very friendly and with a warm welcoming smile.

I came home intoxicated after a night on Revoluccion (like that's ever happened to anyone before, right?) and apparently I had trouble finding my key, opening my door and finding my friend from whom I'd gotten separated. The staff apparently decided I was disorderly. My bad, I'm not proud of it (if that's really what happened, which I don't know). But here's what they did. They physically threw me out on the street, screaming in my face in Spanish the whole time, while someone upstairs ransacked my room. They tossed most (but not all) of my clothes and toiletries in my bag and then they threw my bag out on the street with me (good thing I waited, despite the non-stop verbal abuse). This is not how anyone would handle the situation in, say Las Vegas or New Orleans. But here's what was missing - about $300-400 in $20s from my bag itself, and about $600-700 in $100s that was IN THE LOCKED WALL SAFE ALONG WITH MY PASSPORT. My passport somehow made it into my bag (less the cash folded inside it) so I suppose I should be grateful that my passport made it, at least. But someone obviously has access to the wall safe and takes advantage of that access, to say the least. That should greatly concern anyone staying here and planning to bring valuables. Moral of the story: If you stay here, please make sure you don't have too much to drink and piss off the wrong staff member, or you may find yourself bewildered and shivering on the streets of Tijuana at 4am with no cash, wondering where if anywhere you can find a working ATM. The. Worst. Stay. Ever. P.S. I did find another hotel down the street that took me in no problem (and helped me find an ATM the next day). But I'm crossing TJ off my list for a long, long time and Hotel Rio Rita forever.
Excellent

Outstanding
SSamantha MIm not typically the type to take the time to write reviews but I had to take the time to warn potential guests on here about the safety concerns in the rooms to prevent another dangerous incident. I stayed at this hotel with my family and after a long night I went into the rooms restroom to change. Once I was done I realized whether I turned the restroom lock and hand left or right the door would not open. The whole lock came out inside the restroom and I was stuck in there for over 1 hour at 3AM. Fortunately I was not alone and my boyfriend and family were on the other side to calm me down. The lobby was immediately called and the help we received was unbelievably poor. The one in charge of the hotel had no solution for getting me out. They called up their “so-called” maintenance worker and he came up empty handed. My boyfriend asked for a screwdriver and they didn’t even have that. He claimed he was attempting to find a different key when there was no key whole on the lock. First responders were police officers, not medics nor firefighters. The manager had nothing to say. No one was helping, I was in the restroom for 1 hour and when I just heard everyone talking outside the door and not doing anything about it I began to panic. Taking matters into our own hands my boyfriend tried kicking the door open and it wouldn’t budge. We had no other option but to break a whole in the wall big enough for me to fit. The female manager from the hotel tried to physically stop my boyfriend from doing what he had to for getting me out. I had to squeeze through a small hole through the wall that was made under the sink of the restroom. The insulation made me so itchy but fortunately I had another family members room to shower in. I had already showered and firefighters had barely arrived and still took more time to open up the door with a crow bar as if they weren’t even called until more than a whole hour later of being notified. The hotel relocated us to another room, not one apology given by anyone. The next morning we had breakfast there in the presence of the manager we had dealt with and no words were exchanged with us. That day we went to run errands and have lunch and when exhausted from the chaos I decided to get dropped off instead of visiting family. I arrived back at the hotel to get some rest and I realized 2/5 rooms of my family members keys had been deactivated. When I went to ask for reactivation they said we had to pay a $700 fee for the damages which we had no other option but to do to the walls to get me out of there. When we told them we refused to pay anything we were evicted. Not only were we evicted but when we called our family back to pick us up our 4 other family members were also evicted when they had completely separate reservations. Had I decided not to stay back I could’ve been evicted in the middle of night with no where to go and too exhausted too drive home. They treated us like criminals and at first tried to deny allowing
刘刘Although breakfast is included, it costs nearly $30 for two people. interesting. As long as you eat in the cafeteria, you have to attach it. I don't understand how the Mexicans counted. The breakfast included in the hotel is only 2 slices of bread, coffee and fruit.
GGuest UserMy girlfriend had surgery at a nearby hospital (a block away) we stayed here as art of her surgery package. There were a lot of other patients here as well. You would think that a hotel that has a contract with the hospital that are mostly Canadian and American patients would have TV in English. Now, tv is usually not a big deal but considering after surgery most in recovery are expected to rest. With only 1 English station playing old episodes of 'Criminal Minds' and old movies 'Men in Black' 'Baywatch' it was extremely frustrating. Was told 20 minutes for the room to be ready but it took 90 minutes. Just be honest people, if it's going to take 90 minutes, then say so. There were over 10 of us checking in and waiting in the lounge right in front of the desk but no one from the desk (who could see us clearly) offered us an update as to what was going on. Again, most were surgery patients and just needed to lay down, however an entire football team was checked in before us. Not cool. Location is good, felt very safe. A lovely Mexican restaurant across the street with good prices and good food.
GGuest UserI booked a King Room. The comfortable king bed filled almost half the room (not counting the fairly small bathroom); the rest of the room had two nightstands and a simple desk with one straight-backed wooden chair. Except for three lamps, a safe in the closet and a wastebasket, that's all that was in the room -- nothing luxurious or comfortable except the bed. Everything seemed new and spotlessly clean. This cost $54 USD per night mid-week. There were some irritating problems -- none serious, but not what I'd expect at a ”four-star” hotel (says Google). The biggest one: check-in time was 3pm. I got there at 2pm, told my room would be ready at 3. Came back at 3; the room wasn't ready. I waited until 3:30, as other people checked in. Finally I went to the desk and nicely insisted on having my room instead of sitting in the lobby. They found one. This was on a weekday, when I'd guess rooms aren't in as much demand. The front desk staff could see me sitting there; why didn't they come over and offer a room?
I like the fact that this place was close after crossing the border. The room itself is nice. Has a kitchen, with 2 electrical places for stove, city view is nice to look out the window just to have things to look at, but it's not much. Cons: this place would have been rated a 5. However, I went down for breakfast (free) and when I came back up my room door was open. Not latched, able to be pushed and walked in. Supposedly the housekeeping manager checked to see if the room was occupied . . . But u believe what u want. I know they get a list lol. But this person didn't close the door back correctly. Other than that it was ok
GGuest Userthis is the third time in 3 years we stay at this amazing hotel. This hotel just renovated there rooms, great Bosque room with a chimney and an amazing layout. Its not fancy but it is very nice. each time is a surprise, now they have plenty of parking now. They gave us a free beer at the bar, what hotel does that? not many!! jaja they have a great new outdoor patio to sit and enjoy the evening. Great hotel
GGuest UserMy son and I had a quick stopover on our way from Tijuana airport to San Diego airport, and this was just right. We checked in late, after 11pm, and the front desk was open and able to help us. A light breakfast of fruit, toast with butter and jam and coffee and juice were included, and my son got eggs with chorizo for a few dollars more. Our room was spacious and stylish with a smallish TV with some TV in English. The room did not have drinking water, so I went to Oxxo for a large bottle of water and some snacks, and did not have any trouble on the short walk. There was a ten dollar deposit that I got back when we checked out. The hotel had a van and driver available to go to the airport for $5. We were non the second floor and used the elevator, and there were some steps to our room and inside the room. The shower was nice and clean, as was the room. The breakfast staff in the restaurant were kind and courteous. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive from Tijuana airport.
GGuest UserThis is the kind of place you stay to get a few hours of sleep after getting drunk in one of TJ's many drinking establishments. The hotel is right in the middle of the red light district. It is convenient to many of the establishments that people come to TJ for. If you don't care about anything other than having a bed in a convenient location, this place is a good value and may work for you. It's not a place you'll want to spend any extra time at. That being said, let me explain more about this hotel. It looks nice from the outside, and is set back from the main road by a private parking lot which is guarded. The security of this place is good, which is much appreciated considering the seediness of the area. The staff here are good too, very efficient and friendly. Check in and check out are a breeze and the staff will help whenever they can. The public areas of the hotel have been recently spruced up and look nice. The price of the rooms are reasonable. Those are the only positives, though. The rooms are just nasty - smelly, noisy, dirty. There is almost no natural light - one window faces the interior hotel atrium, and two tiny windows located in the shower room open to an alleyway. There is no fresh air in the rooms and no ventilation, other than noisy wall unit A/C which is only recirculating the same stale air. This is probably why the rooms have a smell. The walls are thin so you'll be hearing a lot of noise (though just from the inside of the hotel - the hotel is set back enough from the street that you don't hear street noise). The rooms were not clean, with little stains here and there, paint peeling off, mold in the bathroom area etc. There are also almost no amenities - no fridge, hair dryer, tissue box. There is a small safe, however. My towels were damp, probably from not being dried enough in the laundry. This hotel can serve a purpose but just know what you are getting if you make a reservation.
