Cold, not clean, no restaurant, noisy. Heart from the guest before was in the bad tub. Alzo the shampoo was opened and allready user. The heating system is to small dimensioned fit the high rooms. This has nothing to do with the Belgian way of living.

The hotel is very close to a nuclear reactor. Which I could just check .. but forgot It is clearly stated on the Hotels that there is a restuarant But that hasn't been the case for many years It's only a bed with a toilet - and yes in a castle .. sad

No problem with the reservation, we arrived a little late, we apologize, the room was almost rented to others. The owners remain welcoming. Yes, the castle is old, the floors creak and the details can be frightening. But. The room, for a couple and a child, was spacious, particularly clean and rather well appointed (2 sofas, coffee table...), the bathroom is just gigantic (remember to lower the blind). The soundproofing is a pleasant surprise since we slept well; the hotel was full and the other residents respected the silence necessary for everyone. The breakfast is very good. The downside: the presence of the nuclear power plant and a busy road. But, the plant will close and traffic will decrease.

Hotel to avoid, not great stay. This castle needs to be renovated urgently and does not deserve 3 stars. the room is large, very beautiful and clean, good bedding. no service, except when I arrived, there was no one at reception (you have to call). the room is not air conditioned, no fan, the nights have been unbearable with the recent temperatures, plus if you open the windows, you will have to fight with mosquitoes and a detestable "acrid" smell outside ( it is not that of the countryside). the breakfast is very frugal, not even bread and the yogurts are reconstituted, it's sad. for the exterior environment: the small park is beautiful, but the entrance with a view of the second cooling tower of the Huy nuclear power plant spoils everything. In summary, if you can't find other accommodation in Huy or the region, experience a night in a castle from another era.

To summarize: we cut our 2 week stay short to just a few hours. Lamentable state of the aparthotel (non-existent hygiene and cleanliness) and unscrupulous owner! Unfortunately, we did not realize the condition of the apar**ent when we arrived. As the weather was nice, we went for a walk. In the evening, when we returned, the surprises piled up. In addition, as we had made the visit with a mask, we unfortunately did not realize to what extent the dust was in our throats... Here are some points that we noted: - The dust (I'm talking here in cm! ): we could easily trace the movements of the chairs by the previous tenants. - Dirt (dried food): on the tablecloth, in the pots, on the cutlery, in the microwave... We started our stay by cleaning to feel at least at ease. - Lack of hygiene: the fridge had been turned off and left closed. The mini freezer almost knocked us out when we opened it. It was filled with water and mold. There too, we spent our time cleaning and disinfecting it. - The trash can was dirty and smelly. - The bathroom was anything but clean. - Dirty and torn sofas and a condition camouflaged by an old dusty blanket. - Heaters off. - Window sills filled with bird droppings and windows not washed for months, if not years. - Cold wing, without light and average accessibility. Be careful not to trip on the stairs. Basically: disaster (especially if we take into account the covid situation!). The owner is well aware of the state of the apar**ent and rents it without the slightest embarrassment. For the fridge for example, she just told us to plug it back in and that's it. How can one, with full conscience, rent a property in such a condition? It's not the little bottle of disinfectant at reception that can make up for the catastrophic lack of cleanliness and hygiene in the apar**ent! She even offered us the side stairs in the wing, telling us that they hadn't been cleaned recently and maybe a little dusty but that they were accessible. Seriously, they were in a dilapidated and dangerous state! In addition, the door to the ground floor was open. What is the point of closing the main door suddenly? We finally decided to leave that evening because we couldn't imagine spending just one night there and seeing what surprises the sheets and beds would have in store for us. The only response from the owner was that we had accepted the rental as is (state which was impossible to see during the visit) and that she agreed to cancel the reservation while keeping 250€ (because 'other people would have liked to reserve the apar**ent -> at least they will have clean dishes...). I find it expensive to pay for 6 hours on

Overall, a satisfactory stay. Very beautiful building with the advantages and slight disadvantages of the old building which "smells like old oak". Bedding, hygiene, breakfast very correct. The call number provided by hôtel.com is not correct, which is worrying for reporting a late arrival since permanent reception is not guaranteed. Finally, without gravity, everything went well. The hotel's reporting could benefit from improvement. Not easy to find.
