We were 3 couples . We stayed in a 3-bed luxury apartment. Fab accommodation, which was a great size or us. All bedrooms had ensuite. Amazing food. Lovely staff. Fabulous views. Peaceful. Loved outdoor pool which was heated and had great views.Would recommend 100%.Managed to do a good walk, which took about 2 hours.

We were lucky that the weather was warm at the end of December to get there. The journey was exciting but probably impassable with snow and slippery conditions. You are in a place with great nature! You could clean and repair the standard lodge bathrooms better. Please light the way from the lodge to the restaurant! Dinner was delicious and nice but more enjoyable with music, without dogs, kids and large groups. The best waiter is Alastair. Spa experience for 30 pounds could have a separate dressing room and private hydropool upstairs. Good home away from home if you eliminate some of the drawbacks. Good luck to you!

We had a great time, just wished there was an option to have apartment earlier, even if a charge was on offer to allow us time to settle, as it was an overnight stay, just felt pressure to book time for spa use and restaurant. I’m timed in my job everyday and wanted away from that. Spa was half opened due to one life guard, couldn’t have an actual swim after driving 2h 30 mins. Everything was spotless. Very warm in all areas, friendly staff, food was lovely, setting stunning.

Excellent escape to Portavadie . Stayed in a wee cottage overlooking loch Fyne . Fabulous with use of the spa included ( infinity pool and jacuzzis outdoors) wow!!!! Staff all friendly helpful and breakfast included in the desk . Overlooked the harbour . Food was plentiful and served by such great staff eager to help . Definitely be back , lots of choices of accommodation too.

We stayed in a studio apartment, which we thought was the best laid out accommodation we have stayed in at this level. It was well laid out, clean, everything we required was supplied, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were lovely and the food served was excellent. It was also really handy to have a small shop on site, in case you needed anything. It was a lovely relaxing short break

Just returned from 4 day stay in one of the luxury apartments. We had a lovely relaxing break. Views from apartment were stunning and also the leisure spa. Apartment had everything you need for a break away and found the kitchen was very well stocked. The sofa in the lounge was in need of replacing and perhaps a bigger tv in lounge and a tv in both bedrooms would enhance the apartment to a more ‘luxury’ status! Found the dining experience nice too and the staff there very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend and return.

We stayed in the "Couple's retreat" and loved the peace and tranquillity - meanwhile the restaurant bar and other facilities were only a 15 minute walk away. Wonderful views, great wifi, everything works! We enjoyed some great walking - the weather was amazing, which helps! Bit of a drive to get there but it was well worth it. Staff very helpful and friendly. The restaurant can get swamped sometimes and service slips, but food is excellent, and wine list/drinks all good. We've booked a return trip already.

Our stay at Portavadie was great, offering a serene and enjoyable experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing a great base for our stay. The hotel’s spa was one of the highlights—featuring two outdoor hot tubs and a large heated pool with beautiful views overlooking Loch Fyne. Inside, there’s a lap pool, a kids’ pool, and a sauna, all of which were perfect for unwinding. On the second day, we opted to pay for access to the upstairs spa, which included a hydro pool, additional saunas, steam rooms, and an outdoor terrace. It was definitely worth the extra cost—this area was much quieter and more peaceful than the downstairs section. While there are no photos allowed, the peaceful ambiance and variety of facilities made it a very worthwhile experience. We also had the chance to dine at the restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious plate of traditional fish and chips. It was tasty and the perfect comfort food after a day of relaxation. Overall, for the price, Portavadie offers great value with excellent spa facilities, good food, and a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend it for those looking for a relaxing stay
