Dolphin Bay Hideaway

We had THE BEST TIME at Dolphin Bay Hideaway! Everything was truly amazing. Communication with Brian before arrival was easy and informative. Meet up in Boca del Toro was smooth, and our boat captain was very accommodating. A pod of dolphins swam alongside our boat on our way in- which was a lovely start to our stay! We stayed at Dolphin Bay Hideaway for 5 nights and loved every minute! JA and Arkey provided breakfast and dinner each day- and their food was fabulous! So yummy and beautifully presented. JA is a chef and an artist with his food creations. Accommodations were wonderful! We had all 4 rooms in the lodge- each one decorated nicely, very comfortable and always clean. The main area of the lodge was perfect for meals and evenings spent playing games and hanging out. The views are beautiful and serene. During the days, we were busy with adventures. One day we visited several snorkel spots in the morning and then hung out at Zapatillo beach for the afternoon. Another day we did the jungle hike with Brian in the morning- not to be missed! We learned so much, planted trees and saw amazing sites including sloths. This was really a highlight for us. Brian’s passion for the jungle and reforestation is contagious and made us appreciate all that we saw and experienced. After the jungle hike, we headed to Red Frog Beach for the afternoon. We also spent a day at Starfish Beach. All 3 beaches we hit were great- fun in the sun was just what we needed and we had yummy lunches at local huts on each beach. Final day we made a trip into Boca in the morning and the afternoon was spent hanging out back at Dolphin Bay Hideaway. Two from our group enjoyed the paddle boards, two had massages (so good!) and two enjoyed lounging and reading at the lodge. Our group enjoyed working out each day in the pavilion (between the dock and the lodge). It is open-aired with views directly to the bay, so an ideal place for the body and soul. The weights, jump ropes, stationary bikes, yoga mats, etc were all used and appreciated. The final thing I will mention is the hospitality extended to us. Brian and his team are beyond superb. They made us feel so welcome and treated us like royalty and family at the same time (if that makes sense). Dolphin Bay Hideaway is really a special place, run by very special people who love what they do, and provided us with special memories that we will long cherish. I researched A LOT of hotels/lodges leading up to this vacation and am beyond thrilled to have picked Dolphin Bay Hideaway. If you are looking to go to Panama on vacation, I’ve done the research for you. Book your stay at Dolphin Bay Hideaway- you won’t regret it. Our second visit to Dolphin Bay Hideaway and if I could give this slice of paradise more than 5* I would!! We travelled as a group of 10 friends and stayed 5 nights end of February, 2025. We did it all - snorkeling, cycling, jungle walk, kayak/SUP, dolphin watching, Red Frog Beach, yoga, lunches on various islands all supported by Brian and his team. Brian and his team are so accommodating and welcoming. Rooms were cleaned daily, WIFI worked well, our water jugs always filled up, and 2 delicious meals a day served like clockwork. They even managed to accommodate multiple dietary restrictions of our group. The grounds are teaming with lush tropical plants and sounds of wildlife. This place is such an adventure! I will not hesitate to return again.

The 2 nights we stayed at the dolpin bay hideway hotel were the vacation within our vacation. We felt very welcome and Brian and his crew took so good care of us. If possible we would have stayed longer. And yes we saw dolphins every day. The room was clean and the food great.

We (a family with two teenager daughters) recently stayed for 3 nights at Dolphin Bay Hideaway. The reviews we have read were very enhusiastic, but we can confirm: It is all true! We were picked up from Bocas by two friendly brothers: one was de captain, the other turned out to be the cook. But not just a normal cook: in our opinion a true chef. The tuna steak was excellent. Truly, the best we had in our lifes. In addition, he made a flan of maracuija. Since our daughters like the passionfruit so much. It tasted great! So, if you like good food, this is the place to be. However, there is more: Kayaks free to use, and kayak between the dolphins. They come really near (just several meters). Kayak with full moon in the bay. A jungle tour with Brian: he really knows a lot, and taught us about all kinds of plants, poisonous frogs and so on. And the snorkeling tour. Being a guest in this underwater world was really special. We saw a nursing shark, stingray, very special jelly fishes. I have snorkelled in various places, but this was excellent! After a day, we sat down at the veranda. Had a cocktail and realized the great beauty of this place, and the warmth of Brian and his team. It is a true paradise! I hope one day we come back again.

The most amazing place I ever got the honour to visit and it will be etched in my heart forever. When I first arrived I cried, it was that divine. The grounds, room, service, food and staff were all top notch! They over delivered on all occasions!! Brian, the owner took us out to see dolphins and he’s incredibly knowledgeable with the tropical plants and fauna along with animals. Make sure you bring reading material and that relax mode since the place screams tranquility.

I stayed at Dolphin Bay Hideaway in March with my sister and her kids. We stayed in the house that’s around the cove from the bed & breakfast. The house was located in a beautiful, peaceful area surrounded by nature. Flowers, trees, birds, butterflies you name it, we saw it. We even saw sloths out back. If you are a birder, you don’t even need to leave the porch around the house. There were different types of tanagers, red footed honeycreepers, bananaquits, kiskadees, hummingbirds and many more all around the house. I even saw a Squirrel Cuckoo on the jungle walk. Brian was very helpful with setting up our outings. And we did the private chef option for meals and the food was incredible. There are also paddle boards and kayaks available at the house. I would definitely recommend staying there and hope to go back one day.
