Temperature very uncomfortable inside the building. Unable to adjust room temperature with the indoor thermostat. Complained to the reception but couldn’t be sorted. It appears the room thermostat are just there for decoration as individual room temperatures cannot be adjusted. Guests have to make do with the central building temperature setting throughout their stay. Had a miserable 7 days with no option of making my room temperature cooler to sleep well. At the end, the hotel had to provide a standing fan in my room throughout my stay.

Overall, the hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, the AC in the rooms is not very strong. We had to ask for a portable fan to help cool down the room during the summer months. And the breakfast buffet was a bit lackluster. When we went to the lobby bar, they didn’t have any of the beer available that we wanted. Only one type, despite having 10+ options on the menu. And we were hoping for a relaxing pool vibe, but it was more of a lap pool, where they were giving lessons to kids. So we couldn’t really enjoy it much.

Renaissance TEDA is the first choice hotel for visiting Tianjin to watch the music festival. The room is clean and tidy, especially the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is also good with rich dishes. There is also a chance to have breakfast with the stars participating in the music festival. The children also swam in the hotel. The environment is very good and the waiters are warm and thoughtful. 😊
