Days Inn by Wyndham Thunder Bay North

We drove from Toronto to Manitoba and back, stayed in several hotels along the way, and this one was our favourite. Rooms are clean and spacious and everything is done right. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable. And the customer service was exceptional: when we first arrived, due to a mix-up (caused by booking.com), the gentleman at the front desk couldn't find our reservation. But even though they were fully booked, he not only found a (better!) room for us but also gave us a significant discount ”for the trouble” (which turned out not to be their fault anyway). He still honoured that even after he eventually found our original reservation in their system.

It’s pretty sad when you get caught on the highway in a traffic jam for over 6 hours then you finally get to hotel to checkin, go to your room to find out that the keycards don’t work so you go back to front desk to get 2 more keycards to get in your room to find out that they don’t work either. Then the person at front desk brings up more keycards to try before you finally get into your room after 30 to 45 mins. You get into room to find out the bathroom has hair on the toilet and in the shower. So really it was a terrible experience cause after finally getting in my room I got maybe 4 to 5 hours sleep before I had to checkout by 11am. So no I wouldn’t recommend this place as a good place to relax and stay

The sheets were crumpled like no replacement, the air in the room was not good, and it was not a taste. There is no elevator in the hotel, and seven or eight pieces of luggage are going to move upstairs. Speaking a little off topic, from Vancouver all the way to the east to the place, I found that the hotels here are generally very expensive, because it is almost 1000 kilometers to the east to find a slightly like hotel, all the way is a small motel It can be seen that this is a stop where driving must stop. The supermarkets, gas stations and restaurants here are very expensive! Come catch up with Vancouver.

When I need to clean and sanitize including dusting, I then don't recommend a hotel. The floors were not very clean, I clouding carpet, always double check, dust, and especially bathrooms should be spotless! Including doors, baseboards and walls in the bathroom. This was on the the pet floor and the carpet in the hallways, near elevator are dirty, not maintained, even the lobby should always be clean but it was not.
Super 8 by Wyndham Thunder Bay

The environment is average. It is worse than other Super 8s. On the main street, the whole building is relatively old, the service is ok, and the stairs are too smelly. The door is unlocked, breakfast is OK
Delta Hotels Thunder Bay

The hotel is very new, the service staff are very friendly, the location is suitable for walking by the lake, recommended!
