I stayed with my family at Ashoka In Thrissur from 24th-28th March 2022. - Reached the hotel around 1145 pm and we were welcomed by mosquitoes everywhere from the lobby to the room and we slept with mosquitoes in the room. We requested the Good night mosquito repentant and end up placing in the room and in the bathroom. - Before reaching we and called and confirmed whether we have hair dryer, reception said yes, but they did not check whether it is working. when we want to use it was not working, requested to repair. - Requested for box tissues and gave us the tissues used in their restaurant first and after repeated requests they provided one box. - Bath tub dirty and wash basin got cracks - Not worthy to pay RS3500+ per night, worth only Rs500 per night - No buffet breakfast as advertised, need order like normal restaurant, breakfast is not buffet, instead we need to order and so we ended up eating outside. - Switches and plugs are loose, safety concerns - Attached a few pictures as well - Rooms and furniture in the room looks very old and are not clean, - Towels provided are many years old and turned yellow - Internet connection very slow in the room and after every 5 minutes cut off - Un acceptable and poor hygiene and service - Can say this is only a single star hotel - Note recommended for international travelers

The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the town. Parking is a bit problem, but the staff will take care of this. The checkin process was completed in less than 10 minutes. A very good quality elevator takes you to the floor. The room is having a traditional key and lock mechanism. The first impression of the room is neat and clean. There are hangers, kettles, bedside table and a study table. There a cable television for entertainment also. Our package include breakfast also. As informed, the breakfast will be server from 7:30, we reached by 7:45 but the breakfast was not ready. Since we had a busy schedule, the restaurebt manager helped us to arrange some food. The taste is average, but the quality is good. Some recommendations to the hotel are: - The dental kit was missing in the toilet - Kindly arrange the iorning table and iorn box to each room - An LED desk light to the study table is highly recommended - The kettle was not clean - The hair drier was not working - Kindly provide a bill at the time of checkout. What I like the most: - I haven't used but there is a WiFi provided by the hotel - The quick response from the staff; this is a very very good point in the service industry - Clean atmosphere The hotel is highly recommended to families who are looking for budget hotel with above average facilities. Make sure that you have options to travel to the town.

I've stayed here before in 2019 before the pandemic. It's a budget hotel, back then I felt it was clean, favorably located, good traditional breakfast and secure. I came back this time after booking months earlier. I had been traveling all day, the room I was given though spacious and clean is very dated, torn lampshades, shabby curtains, ugly red velvet couches, a broken refrigerator. I was horrified to see the disgusting bath tub and dirty shower curtain. The whole vibe is seedy to say the least. I immediately complained and the front desk said that the room they actually allocated to me had an electrical issue so this was the only room available, they will shift me tomorrow. I had them disinfect the tub. It's late at night, I'm too exhausted to go looking for another hotel. It's totally unacceptable that they even considered giving me such a room, I feel very let down.
