Ayur Bethaniya Ayurveda Hospital

I stayed in Ayurbethaniya in January-February 2025 during 4 weeks. We were picked up at Cochin airport in the middle of the night and very warmly welcomed by dr Shincy and some staff members of the hospital. I don’t know much about Ayurveda and Panchakarma but hoped it could release me from chronic hippains for which many other treatments had not brought a solution during the almost 2 years, my life was impacted by this problem that had occurred very suddenly. The therapies were all new to me. They were mostly nice and soft. Most of them were focused on the hip- and back-region. I also took ozon therapy. Now, back home since a week in freezing temperatures, and taking daily the medicines the doctor prescribed me, my hip feels almost completely freed from pain. I have good hope that this is not a short-term situation. About the center, the location is a bit isolated but treatments make that there is not so much time for shopping and sightseeing. The open air restaurant is a lovely place to spend time during meals. Those are very tasty and offer an opportunity to explore the local kitchen. Tea and a snack are daily served in the hut, a covered place where you can listen to the music created by the bamboo bushes nearby. The center has also a very nice open air swimming pool, protected for the sunrays. It was one of the reasons to chose Ayurbethaniya for my panchakarma retreat. Further i am impressed by the friendliness and care of all the staff (doctor, nurses, kitchen, garden, housekeeping, reception, …). I hope to have the opportunity to come back.

Ayur Bethaniya is a very professional ayurvedic hospital. It’s situated on a beautiful terrain with a botanical garden, swimmingpool and auditorium with yoga lessons every morning and where I’ve enjoyed very beautiful dancing and music performances. The meals are very tasteful and being served in a very nice and cozy outdoor restaurant. The doctors, nurses and therapists do their utmost to help you with everything and to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are comfortable, with a full bathroom and in case something is broken they repair it instantly. I’ve stayed here during 4 weeks for a panchakarma treatment and it felt like home abroad!

Ayur Bethaniya has a world-class approach to its patients from multiple countries around the globe. The management is led by skilled leadership, who are customer friendly. Highly recommended, if you are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of life. They offer a range of options if you are looking for a relaxation package, and also the option to treat any form of disease using functional and Ayurvedic medicine. I went to Ayur Bethaniya for a complete cleansing and detox, which is required for the treatment of chronic skin conditions. I reached out to Mr Manoj Francis, the Customer Relationship Manager there. From the get-go, he made the admission process very smooth. The administration is extremely proactive about sending out timely information which made my decision to go to Ayur easier. I spent 11 days there in December for a consultation for eczema. I had a wonderful experience. The centre is located in a wonderful location, complete with nature's bounty all around. The campus is extremely peaceful. Travel was hassle-free as the centre offered airport pickup and drop. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff is always available to help you out. Amenities are made available timely. Doctors are superb and very attentive to patients' requirements. I loved that the administrative staff came around for daily feedback sessions, which shows that the administration is open to suggestions and improvements. The therapists are also highly skilled and very professional. did not once feel uncomfortable during the treatment. I would readily recommend Ayur Bethaniya to anyone seeking holistic ayurvedic relief to their health issues.

Last July I went to Ayur Bethaniya for 25 days, a hospital known for their panchakarma, physiotherapy, ozone and healing therapy, eye treatments and vitamin cures. They work from Ayurvedic medicine. At the airport we were picked up by taxi from Ayur Bethaniya. The hospital is located in a green area, with small streets in which there are some villas of up to 4 rooms with double bed and private bathroom. There is always transport if you have difficulty walking or are tired from a treatment. Twice a day, the doctor and nurses visited us for a consultation and a blood pressure measurement. There was also the possibility to follow yoga. Twice a day, masseurs massaged you synchronously with warm oil for 45 minutes. They alternated their treatments with steam baths, clay treatments, head massages, shirodharas, medicinal enemas... The restaurant serves vegan food, their Indian cuisine is fantastic with spices. Since my arrival, I have been in regular contact with my doctor to report changes and ask for advice. Never before have I felt so safe in a place as in Ayur Bethaniya. This trip was the most loving, caring and conscious journey. Namaste, love Suzy
