We had a wonderful time at Panhou Retreat. The Resort is beautifully located in the rainforest, surrounded by mountains and millions of rice terraces. The view from the pool into the valley is breathtaking. As most of the staff are locals only few speak English, but this is no problem at all, as they are extremely kind and helpful. The rooms are very modern and comfortable, still fitting perfectly into the whole scenery. We did a 1 day hiking trip with a local guide through the rice terraces with stunning views. We also highly recommend the cooking class. We collected all ingredients directly from the garden and prepared a wonderful vegetarian dinner in the separate outdoor kitchen. Our cooks Huy and Nan were really nice and taught us a lot about local life, traditions, food etc. Ee defiantly hope to come back sometime.

Beautiful remote location set in lovely gardens. Good attention to detail throughout from reception through bar, restaurant, to individual rooms. Staff all police and friendly giving good service. Food delicious. Relaxing atmosphere. Fantastic views from the infinity pool. We really enjoyed our stay and thoroughly recommend this retreat.

Amazing hotel, very peaceful with hot spa and infinity pool. Great location for trekking into the hills. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We had a very relaxing stay after busy and loud Hanoi. The food is excellent! From the resort we made beautiful hikes around the retreat including a nice lunch at the home of local people. We also enjoyed the herbal bath and the infinity swimming pool. It were three fantastic days!

We had such a lovely stay at Pan Hou Retreat! Immensely enjoyed the lovely scenery and beautiful location. Also the trekking with a guide and stay at the homestay was an unforgettable experience. We would definitely recommend Pan Hou for anyone who’s looking to go off the beaten path in the north of Vietnam!

A haven of peace and tranquility on the banks of the river. Accessed over a rope bridge and with rooms nestled on the hillside amongst beautiful gardens this is a treasure of a place. Rooms are beautiful and well furnished with adequate bathrooms. The beds were slightly on the hard side. Dinner was included in the restaurant and was delicious. Breakfast included lots of choices. We stayed two nights and after a long tough hike in the hills nearby the natural hot springs and swimming pool were a welcome relaxation.
