還沒到keswick，入口很小，很容易錯過。酒店由一座5-600年的老房子改建，部分房間老舊。但外面風景還是不錯的，老闆也很友善，早餐不錯。

First impression , we've arrived at the set of The Shining! Dark corridors and no one there, but Dale who's family own it was very friendly, our room, cold but OK when the heating kicked in. Breakfast hot and tasty, views are stunning needs updating but would stay again.

This is a place to stay if you want a great location and to stay in a house that has character, it was built as country retreat and its obvious why they picked the location. The greeting was warm, helpful and efficient The room was big enough but compact by modern standards, bathroom was modern and clean, extra bedding was available if required. The bed was comfortable and the area is, not surprisingly very quiet. There isn't a lift so pack light! Breakfast was good, full English available and served in a pleasant dinning room by competent staff. The bar was open during our stay but we chose the 10 minuet stroll down the driveway to the pub for dinner as it was a nice evening, walkers could probably do it in 5. We only stayed a night but I would be happy to stay longer, if you want a modern hotel this isn't the place for you, if you want charm and a sense of history it is.

Amazing! Such a wonderful and enchanting hotel to stay at. The surroundings are so beautiful, we loved having our morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the lake. The staff are so very kind and friendly, we will definitely be returning. The beds and pillows are also very comfy so that was perfect for us.

Please don't waste your money! It was our anniversary, last minute booking. Put in a self catering block adjacent to hotel which is fine. The smell hit us first, damp/mouldy smell. Dated is an understatement. Mattress was terrible! Modern bathroom, towels were threadbare and I'm guessing were once white but now yellowy colour😖, cobwebs, dust and dead spiders on sills. We were hungry and asked about food, told to walk to the pub down the road! This is not a 4 star hotel! The main hotel looks like a care home inside. Only saw 1 member of staff, the one that told us to go to the pub or go and get fish and chips from Keswick village. Customer service, zero! Customer satisfaction, zero. Don't be mislead by other reviews. Yes the lake view is nice but not worth £160 for 1 night and no sleep, no food 🙈

Stayed here last minute and was not disappointed! The host was fantastic, lovely food and the best nights sleep, all this with the added extra of lovely surroundings and lake view from our room, this was without doubt a perfect addition to our weekend in keswick

Perfect location on the shore of Thirlmere. As other reviewers have said, its a little old fashioned downstairs but don’t let that put you off. Our room (15) was spacious, spotlessly clean and cosy with a large bathroom and wonderful view of the gardens and lake. Stay for dinner, it’s delicious. We’re already looking forward to coming back x

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The room was great and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast too. Very handy for Helvellyn and walking around the reservoir. The view over Thirlmere was gorgeous and we enjoyed the evening sun set sitting overlooking the garden.

Stayed in Thirlmere Suite. Comfortable, beautiful views, luxury bathroom with good quality towels and small but well equipped kitchen. Owners helpful and always available, sorted out disconnected wifi promptly, also happy to take phone numbers to contact us if we failed to return from mountain hiking.
