Aphrodite Beachfront Hotel by Konnect, Roda

We chose to return to Aphrodite as it provides very clean accommodation, good pool area with lovely snacks. Rooms overlooking the beach provide lovely views of sunrise. Breakfast is now continental buffet style and this is a great improvement. Staff are friendly and helpful remembering returning guests of which Aphrodite Hotel has many.

We first visited this hotel in October 2024 and had a sea view room which was lovely. I have mobility issues ( assisted travel provided) and was frightened by the slippy shower in the bathroom. Other than that, we were impressed by the cleanliness, the friendliness and generally the lovely atmosphere of the hotel. we decided that we enjoyed the holiday so much we’d come again. I was advised by a member of the reception staff that if we came again I had to specifically ask for one of three rooms, numbers given, that would satisfy our sea view request and also for my safety, a non slip walk in shower. All that was done by our travel agent who apparently emailed the hotel. On our arrival in May 2025 we found we did not have a sea room. Reception staff did what they could but a sea view room with walk in shower was not available. This did not really spoil the holiday but took the pleasure off our arrival .We were welcomed back by the staff as long lost friends, we met up with returning friends. All staff were as friendly and helpful as before. It was a joy to have the new continental breakfast with the teas and coffees and lemon delivered by Spiros and Vasillos; the double act that entertained us with humour yet efficiency every morning. We look forward to seeing them again. The Yacht club provided us with lovely evening meals . I understand some of this was cooked by “boss man”. It was delicious. His cousin also served in the restaurant, he also was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Sorry, I’ve forgotten their names. I hope it isn’t too long before we return to see our great holiday venue again.

Very basic hotel but reflects the price. Not much drawer space in our twin room and not enough power points. No kettle - which would have been good. All areas of hotel very clean and well kept. Staff were all very good with special mention to Spiros in the bar/breakfast and snacks area. Front facing rooms have a sea view which I wish we had - the hotel is in a great location - the beach (very clean) right across road from hotel and lots of restaurants/shops/supermarkets very near. We didn’t realise how long a trip to Corfu Town (Island capital) would be - we did a cruise to Paxos island from Corfu Town and it was almost 2 hours on coach one way! Be prepared to be out for a long time. We left pickup outside hotel at 6.45 am and got back at 21.30. We found Roda to be a great place to relax but not a good place to do trips from. Would stay here again

The management have obviously listened to past reviews as the breakfast selection was excellent. The continental breakfast was well presented including fresh greek yoghurt with honey cheeses boiled eggs and ham tomatoes toast and cake. The hotel location is superb with friendly staff, a fridge and a safe included. Rooms were big enough and the view from the balcony watching the sunrise was stunning. This is my first visit and l really can't fault anything and would totally recommend this hotel and would love to return

Been coming to the fantastic family run Aphrodite Hotel for over 35 years mostly 2 visits each year lot of people who stay are regulars. I have never heard of any complaints from guests, talking to first timers who stated would be booking for coming back. The hotel staff are very friendly especially Panos the Manager who is always there if you need anything and Yannis on reception. Round the pool lovely snacks try the fruit salad (fantastic) the pool has just been refurbished and the reception and ongoing walk in showers. The bar area also does lovely bar snacks and serves a lovely cool Mythos which is the best in Roda there is also the Yacht restaurant which does lovely meals attached to the hotel also for hotel guests you can also book half board there is also the Yacht Club Bar. Each room has a flat screen TV and hair dryer the rooms are very clean. Alsorun from the hotel run by Panos and his business partner Noufris is Skyway Boats Tours and Rentals brand new boats. There is a regular bus service right outside the hotel between the town of Kassiopi and Sidari and a service to Corfu Town. There are several car hire/travel shops side the hotel. All the Aphrodite staff are great and will do their best to make your holiday perfect and relaxing. The family also have the supermarket attached to the hotel and Jennys Shop. NO, not for us. The year before we went to the Theodore round the corner and so we were expecting the same happy fantastic staff and atmosphere. Wrong! We found this hotel to be very different. The staff were NOT as friendly at all and the pool area was no where near what we had last year at the Theodore. First of all the pool was a horrible murkie green, you couldn't really see the bottom. There was a real safety issue in that one of the pipes, in the wall of the pool that sucks, the water out through the filtration system had NO cover. It should have a strainer/basket like top on it to prevent fingers and hands etc being ****** in. It did NOT have a cover and several people ended up with horrible plumb sized red marks on their bodies where they had lent up against the wall and it ****** there skin inwards. It happened to me and believe me, it hurt! The lady that manages the pool area was rude. Shouting at people in front of others, in full eye shot. She was very disgruntled if she saw children splashing or throwing balls in the pool etc. One particular couple had a very small amount of sand on their shoes as far as we were concerned and the lady shouted at them in front of all the other guests. It all put a bit of a downer on out holiday experience that we were looking so forwards to. We went bed and breakfast, Oh NO! Every morning the waiter would bring to each person exactly: I bread bun, some a piece of wafer ham, a piece of thin processed cheese, a small tub margarine, and small tub of jam and a boiled egg. Every day was the same, when you walked in to the dinning hall, red hot with not air con, you were given this. No variety! We found the waiters a little blunt and not very friendly. But then we were comparing this to the Theodore, which was fabulous the years before. Kids cold play and have fun, the pool was clean and the staff were outstanding. Not so with this hotel. Sorry I had to be honest but we always appreciate other peoples point of view I will say that the room was great and the balcony view of the ocean was superb.
