The room was with a magnificent mesmerising hill view and all the staff was very polite and courteous. Location was near main market and very near to all main attractions of Thimphu. The manager Ms Champa specially was a great help. Food at restaurant was also very tasty.

Best food in thimpu.. went there for lunch with 1.5 yr old baby. They helped us in making upma for baby. There veg food is awesome and very yummy.. Do visit if u r looking for veg options in thimpu Veg pulav is also good Had ordered veg pulav palak paneer aaloo gobi n roti..

Great location. Our stay at the hotel was extremely comfortable and fun. There is a football stadium right behind the hotel and the main clock tower is hardly 2 blocks away where a fair was going on during our stay. Would definitely recommend.

the rooms were comfortable. Food was good. house keeping was good. the hotel was centrally located near clock tower. Most tasty Indian Food in Thimpu Market Centre. Located at the heart near druk hotel. They have Indian chef, and the staff, especially Leki Wangmo was very hospitable in her approach and took care of our order very well. Overall must visit to have Indian food here.

Hello We have a memorable and quality time in Gakyil Hotel Thimphu. Our room view was excellent. We could able to see the Clock tower and mountain view from our bed. The most important thing we loved is Indian cuisine especially fried rice and chicken tikka...they do have Indian cook who served us really mouthwatering food. The staff was very humble throughout the stay. Served us with a good gesture. Rooms are very nice with heater and hot water...

Wonderful Experience :- I stayed at Gakyil hotel 3rd time during my business trip to Bhutan in July-2023 and I truly loved the hotel. Great location overall for sightseeing, recreation, dining and getting around. The hotel staff members ( mainly Yuden@Reception, Urmela Gurung@FNB,Bema Dhal @Cafe, Urmila Gurung @ Housekeeping and entire team ) were very helpful, friendly, especially courteous. The room was spacious , extremely comfortable and the restaurant food was delicious. Overall it was splendid experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Bhutan - ' The Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon'.

The hotel is in the heart of Thimpu city and close to clock tower which is the center of attraction in thimpu, its a happening place, there were programs held every evening at the clock tower like singing and dancing a very enjoyable place, you can also watch programs from this hotel rooms on the 5th floor, the hotel staff were very courteous and always greeting with smile and restaurant staff were also good, they had chef from Calcutta who was efficient in preparing indian style food which was very good in taste, there are lots of hotels and store and shopping in the walking distance from this hotel, the rooms are also good and specious, we enjoyed our stay very much.
