Amazing Experience at Stay Mikado – Highly Recommended! From the moment I arrived in Malé, the transfer to Stay Mikado was smooth and hassle-free. Ameen contacted me in advance and provided all the necessary information, making the entire process easy and stress-free. The hotel room was immaculate and cleaned daily, which made for a very comfortable stay. The food was absolutely delicious—kudos to the chef, who always ensured there was plenty for everyone. Ameen went above and beyond organizing daily activities such as snorkeling, swimming, surfing, and excursions to nearby islands. There was always something fun and memorable to do. The island itself is ideal for anyone seeking a peaceful escape without the crowds. As a small hotel, it offers a quiet and intimate atmosphere. Ameen and his staff were incredibly attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and well cared for. The local people were also warm and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the experience. This was my first time at Stay Mikado, and I’m so glad I chose it. I really enjoyed the hotel. The staff are very nice and welcoming. The manager named Ameen is a very nice man. The 2 ladies at the kitchen are very very friendly. The workers in general made me love my stay there. I highly recommend it

The B&B is right next to the port, and it is very convenient to go out to the sea. It is ten minutes away from the airport. There is a beautiful private beach next to the airport, where you can let the buggy take you there or ride a bike yourself. The hotel has an outdoor restaurant, which is open all day and late, which is quite good. The hotel buffet is also OK. There is a terrace on the third floor with hammocks, lounge chairs and a gym, where you can relax. The room is very large, it is a two-bedroom and one-living room suite. Each suite has a public living room, balcony and kitchen, which is still very spacious. It is just that room 201 is very close to the mosque, and it will be woken up by the chanting at 4:30 every day. If you mind, you can communicate with the boss in advance to ask for a room with a different orientation. The hotel service is very good. Before leaving the hotel to go to the airport, the staff will help to transport the luggage to the airport for check-in in advance, help to get the boarding pass, and finally, as long as you go to the airport half an hour in advance, you can go directly to the security check and board the plane. We left our hearts and souls in Thimarafushi and went back to Stsy Mikado to feel happiness and calm again. Stay Mikado is our second home, we feel happy, calm and safe else we are on the island or doing water activities. The lounge is the biggest addition, having activities like tabld tennis, pool and a place to socialize with other guests made the experience much better. Prices are affordable at the lounge, cleanliness and organisation is the hotel are top priority in rooms, food. There is always that extra touch of love and care that you find only in Stay Mikdao, The hotel organised my son's birthday and was an amazing experience with all guests participating. Desert island Bbq and a beach night dinner and party as well. these events made our stay different then other hotels. Ameen the hotel manager is a trustworthy person, when he says anything, just consider it done 😀. I also want to thank all the team for the love and care to our small family and espicially to our son Mohamed (Ameen-Sanjeet--lady at the lounge-Ana-Lei and Dharun) In Stay Mikado the definition of hotel changes into a family. We promised to come back and we are promising to come back for the third time ❤️

In October 2024, I was forced to cancel my paid reservation at the Stay Mikado hotel (2.5 months before the arrival date). The owner of the hotel, Ameen, said that he would return all the money for the cancelled trip. This is about $ 2,000. 4 months have passed. I periodically wrote to Ameen to clarify the refund deadlines, asking him to send at least part of the money. Each time he replied that he would return everything in the near future, but he constantly postponed the deadlines. And recently he stopped communicating altogether. I am starting to doubt the veracity of all the positive reviews on various platforms. The hotel itself may be good. But I want to warn all travelers that if you cancel your trip, you will not get your money back.
