Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa

We had a family trip here. The experience was generally great. The on-water villa is nice. The island is quiet and can see the milky way by naked eyes. The food is nice but a bit expensive. There are a lot of free facilities to use, like for childcare and snorkeling.

Our stay at Le Méridien Hotel in the Maldives was nothing short of delightful. Surrounded by beautiful blue waters and sandy beaches, it was a perfect getaway of working life. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the culinary experience, with our personal highlight being the teppanyaki and experience (albeit somewhat expensive). The spa facilities were equally impressive, providing relaxing massages in a wonderful ambiance. However, while the food and spa exceeded our expectations, we found the service at the pool and reception staff to be somewhat lacking. While friendly, they could have been more attentive to our needs, and at times, we felt a bit neglected, next to the reception messing up our departure schedule. On a brighter note, the music and DJ at the hotel were fantastic. Their selection of tunes perfectly complemented the island setting, and we found ourselves Shazaming quite a few songs to add to our own vacation playlist. Overall, our stay at Le Méridien Hotel was memorable, thanks to its excellent food, luxurious spa, and captivating music. Despite some shortcomings in service, we would gladly return for another retreat in paradise.

Excellent and warm service from this beautiful, well-kept and new resort. I had such a wonderful holiday here, and everyone from the restaurants to the spa were so open and friendly. Every day, we saw different fish and rays from our villa. Special thanks to Sobe the resort manager, and to my massage therapist Tashi, who exuded so much joy and took great care of me. Love this resort, looking forward to returning next year hopefully.

We have landed in paradise. Le Méridien Maldives is the dreamiest resort we have ever been to. The blue color of the water is mesmerising and the underwater world is incredible. The overwater villas are a dream and the service was excellent. We will be back very soon!

Shout out to the F&B team! We loved all the staff at the restaurants and bars. Being of East Asian descent, I usually avoid Japanese cuisine; however, Tabemasu exceeded my expectations. Service and ambiance-wise, everything was great. I’d like to mention Chef ARAVIND, who went out of his way to ensure my satisfaction; he checked on us every single time. His team is amazing. Although the housekeeping and front office need improvement, I still enjoyed my stay.

If you like resorts that are the only thing on a small island, I'd highly recommend staying here. The island is easily walkable and buggies are available if you wish to ride. The overwater villas were beautiful and so private. The only way anyone could look in was from the lagoon but the reflective glass used made it hard to see in. The view we had was incredible. The staff were always willing to help with any request. My friend and I even got a goodby wish on the dessert place the last lumch we had there. The dive operator, Sub Oceanic, gave us some incredible trips. It was the wet season so the water was a bit choppy. They did everything they could to accomodate our requests. The staff made sure we saw as much as possible. One of the things that most impressed me was that the pictures they took were given to us for free. Every other dive operator I've done snorkeling trips with has charged for the pictures. While our only restaurant choices were on the resort, there were several options available. They have a marvelous greenhouse which produced some fabulous salads. My only suggestion would be that they offer smaller portions for the elderly adults who choose to come. When I ordered chicken, there were two breast pieces. The pork chop option had two full size porkchops. It was a little too much with the appetizer and a dessert for me. The wait staff were so helpful and cheerful even with the long hours they seemed to work. One of the waiters seemed really enamored of my friend. He was always trying to surprise her or joke with her. It was the trip of a lifetime.

We went there to spend our 10th anniversary and it was an amazing world class one of our best stays / holidays of our entire life! The staffs are super courteous and goes out of the way to make one’s stay a worthy enriching experience. We tried food at Vella bar and grill, both pizza and fine dining at night with oyster and wagu beef steak etc, and it was excellent! We tried dinner at TABEMASU twice, including the last one being a 6 course special teppanyaki experience which the chef curated just for the two of us in a private dining zone. I can not explain the experience through words! It was worth every single penny. The spa was out of the world and we went twice. The water sports availability was perfect. A special mention to our first dive experience with Joe and Jessy. They made the whole experience so easy and yet so memorable that I can go on and on only describing our dive. The welcome jetty and the overall first glimpse, including the tour of the island / property as well as the overall tour of the water villa were super helpful and informative. We stayed at the water villas with plunge pool, and the view was west facing. Every evening we used to watch the sunset from the infinity pool and then from the bathtub and it was one of the best sunsets of our lives! Staying in far off villas never made it inconvenient as we used to get buggy immediately almost though the property was quite vast and almost occupied. Services were usually prompt and we got more than what we expected / asked for. The only drawback was the long wait for the sea plane while going and the odd morning rescheduled time of the return sea plane which ruined some parts of the fun. I would also recommend them to make better cocktails, though they were aesthetically presented, it lacked the strength and flavour. Overall, it was amazing!

We recently stayed at the Le Meridien Maldives. Our delayed honeymoon due to COVID was way more than we could have expected. We stayed in a sunset overwater Villa and experienced many sunsets from our balcony. While on the trip we used the provided snorkeling equipment to explore around our villa and the house reef. The sea life was amazing on top of the colorful fishes, a sea turtle, and a feather ray. From our balcony we saw two smaller black tip reef sharks and woke up to a feather ray almost every morning. The property is amazing! We were originally on a half board plan but added the all-inclusive plan as it allowed for more dining options and unlimited cocktails. What really made the vacation was the amzing staff at the Le Meridien Maldives. I will do my best to recognize all of them, but the service was top notch and was 5 stars plus. The food and drink were also amazing and we enjoyed many amazing meals at several of the restaurants. I highly recommend the Waves Cafe. We had breakfast there at least three mornings. The food just felt healthy and was next to the amazing art gallery where the staff artist was painting. We brought home at least 5 pieces of his original art. In addition to Waves, I highly recommend Vella for an amazing steak. The Australian Rib eye is out of this world. The Japanese restaurant was also amazing. We ate there twice and were really impressed with the food and the service. We did not plan any excursions, but everyone we talked to really enjoyed them with the dolphin cruise being the highlight. On our arrival in the Maldives, we had booked the CIP service through the hotel for $250 per person. When we exited our plane in Male, we were met by a gentleman holding a sign who took us to a Mercedes sedan and transfered us to the CIP lounge. Once at the lounge, we provided our passports to boarder control and were escorted to the nice air conditioned lounge. Once our tourist visa was approved, our passports were returned. The CIP lounge took care of collecting our checked luggage and provided us with a picture for confirmation. Shortly after a staff member from the Le Meridien met us in the lounge and told us we would be picked up for our sea plane transfer in 45 minutes. 45 minutes later we were escorted to the vehicle that took us to the sea plane terminal. After a short sit in a very hot lounge we boarded our seaplane to the resort. A word of caution. The seaplane are very hot and do not have AC. Once we arrived at the Le Meridien, staff were present where we docked. They provided a cool towel and a welcome drink while we proceeded with check in. The staff member that assisted us and gave us a tour of the island was amazing. I sadly cannot remember her name but believed it started with an E and I believe she was from Bali. Every time we would she her on the island she would refer to us by name with a warm greeting and a smile on her face. Our room was ready when we arrived and stayed in villa 210. The housekee
