We stopped in Thiers en route to Provence. The town is quaint with a few bars,fabulous views and friendly locals. We were welcomed by the owner and his wife. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The 3 course dinner was fantastic and great value. The poached eggs cooked in burgundy wine were delicious The main course of confit lemon chicken was equally delicious however the highlight of the meal were the desserts,creme brulée and mousse au chocolat. Every dish is home made. The Algerian wine was equally delicious.

The room was comfortable, though on the small side. Really comfortable bed and lovely sheets. No real reception area. Area around the hotel now sadly very run-down, though there is some regeneration happening.

Week end en couple. Hôtel vieillot, aurait besoin de rénovation. Douche très petite, salle de bains moyenne. Demandé une chambre en rez de chaussée ou avec ascenseur si à l'étage. Le gérant n'a pas eu l'info. Pas de clim mais sur le site il était dit qu'il y avait des ventilateurs au plafond, pas vu !!

L'ai est touché par une fléche prefectorale du 13 mai 2025 plus de repas servis ni petits déjeuners el aguilar esta caido à vous de voir ver por su mismo expérience que je ne désire pas refaire pour la restauration du soir fuyez Thiers centre sinon la ville est magnifique et mérite d'être visitée

Ville tellement triste... hôtel propre et simple, Literie acceptable. Le patron (enfin, je pense) fait l'accueil, sert au restaurant et "cuisine"... donc pas facile. Il est très gentil Ça peut aller pour passer une nuit. Petit déjeuner très très frugal (nous en avons pris un second à la boulangerie juste en dessous!)

Hôtel atypique. ! Literie confortable et pas de bruit la nuit. La chambre que nous avons eu était refaites avec les moyens du bord. Pas de fioritures juste du pratique. Si vous aimez les Hotel « classe » faites demi- tour. Restauration classique pour un we du 15 août. Personnel sympathique, pas compliqué le boss s’occupe de tout.

Nous avions choisi cet hôtel car il était situé près du centre ville, que c'était un hôtel indépendant et que nous aimons les lieux avec une histoire, même s'ils sont désuets ou avec un charme suranné. Nous avons eu tout cela. Un prix modeste, une grande chambre, des lieux extremement propres. Alors bien sur, la déco est kitch, c'est un drôle de mélange, mais les moulures, boiseries et sols en mosaïque de l'entrée sont encore très beaux. Le gérant s'est montré charmant, à l'écoute et à notre service. On peut se garer gratuitement dans le parking couvert en face. Alors si comme nous, vous préférez un lieu différent de ceux que vous offrent les chaines d'hôtels stéréotypées, arrêtez vous à l'Aigle d'Or. Il est comme la ville de Thiers, et son histoire coutelière, de tradition, de sentiments, il est authentique.
