Clean room, comfy bed.
Interesting old property.
Bar doesn't open in the week so quite and would have to go out for food, but plenty of choice nearby, walking distance.
Shower was nice and warm.
Facilities were good, tea and coffee, complimentary soap, supplied towels.

Stayed here after viewing advert in GB news - had a fab stay really worth a visit. Ate in the hotel restaurant staff attentive and helpful. Food options reasonable and tasty! Good location and pleasant staff. Rooms very clean! Will return with the children next time!

Had our wedding at Thomas paine hotel yesterday and had amazing day. Gez, Rosie and team went above and beyond to accommodate us and our guests nothing was a problem. Food was great all my guests commented on how good food was. So a big thank you to gez, Rosie and sanci all the waiting staff and bar staff you did amazing job

As a family we have visited The Thomas Paine twice now, once for Christmas lunch and once today for a joint birthday meal. Both times they have gone above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable, and that our needs were being met. All staff were welcoming and friendly, checking in with us and making sure we had everything we need. Nothing was too much and they always made us feel at home. Today they even opened up their kitchen just for our table as they remembered us from Christmas. When it was time for cake all the staff members came in singing happy birthday and it was just a lovely atmosphere. I feel it’s the extra things like this that really make The Thomas Paine worth visiting over and over. Cannot rate them highly enough and would recommend to all.

We had an excellent Christmas party at the hotel. The booking was easy and straight forward and any enquiries were dealt with efficiently. On the evening nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious and the disco great. All in all would highly recommend it for your office christmas party

Christmas Day was fabulous. The food was amazing and Gez, Rosy and Saanchi welcome you with open arms . Such a lovely atmosphere with a log fire burning to enjoy your coffee and mince pies infont of .. thank you for a truly magical day. We hope to see you all again soon
