As someone who has and does spend a lot of time in different hotels, the Bell in Thetford was a pleasant surprise and to be honest all the Green King hotels I have stayed in recently are excellent for the price. Staff are excellent, food is above average and the accommodation is of a descent standard. Well done Green King and your excellent team. It makes a change from the faceless major chain hotels.

As a family we have visited The Thomas Paine twice now, once for Christmas lunch and once today for a joint birthday meal. Both times they have gone above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable, and that our needs were being met. All staff were welcoming and friendly, checking in with us and making sure we had everything we need. Nothing was too much and they always made us feel at home. Today they even opened up their kitchen just for our table as they remembered us from Christmas. When it was time for cake all the staff members came in singing happy birthday and it was just a lovely atmosphere. I feel it’s the extra things like this that really make The Thomas Paine worth visiting over and over. Cannot rate them highly enough and would recommend to all.
