Top rated hotels in Thessaloniki

Anatolia Hotel
4.3/557 Reviews
Dimokratias Sq.
Its location, albeit not with a great view and quite noisy, was very convenient and easy to connect to the rest of the city-centre, because of the public transport stops nearby. The room was spotless and the house-keeping was excellent. The only issue with the room was its not having hot water all the time and the WiFi being unstable, at times. The breakfast was quite good and offered plenty of options; the dining hall was beautiful. The staff was very kind and helpful and provided an understanding listening ear for any issues there might had been. The reason for the 4 stars, instead of 5, is that I would prefer that there were more languages spoken in the hotel, to make it more accessible. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ για την φιλοξενία σας· θα σας προτιμήσω, σίγουρα, στο επόμενό μου ταξίδι στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Ορνέλλα Κομνένα / Ornella Comnena.
Elisabeth Boutique Hotel

Spent 7 nights at Elisabeth Boutique Hotel and it was excellent - from the comfort of the room (a City room so relatively basic) to the location (right in the centre), to the staff (full of recommendations). There are alot of really nice boutique hotels in Thessaloniki but I didn't regret staying here. The bed was so comfortable (especially for an afternoon nap!), the shower hot and powerful and the room relatively well sound-proofed (at least we didn't hear anyone upstairs which is so common in hotel rooms these days though some noise from the corridor). We missed a balcony but we were out most of the days so it was not a deal-breaker. The City room has a small fridge, kettle and coffee machine, a hair dryer that was not very powerful but did the job, enough wardrobe space with hangers and a safe. We were not at all fans of the glass bathroom wall but quickly closed the curtain that blocked the view from one room to the next and kept it closed until we left. It does require some trust as the curtain is on the outside of the bathroom! The room also has a handy tablet – use this for all of the info you might need during your stay. Breakfast was good – fresh OJ and eggs on request and though we didn’t eat there, the restaurant has a good and reasonably priced menu. The hotel has a small gym which in the end we didn’t use as it was in the basement and not the most inspiring space but they offer some great massage services and even a 30min back & neck massage is well recommended. Location-wise, the hotel is 30metres from a very lively square with numerous bars (the bars in Thessaloniki are super cool and behind graffiti’d shutters that you wouldn’t even imagine) and 5mins walk to the main eating and shopping areas and the seafront. It’s very well located though a Google maps search doesn’t do it justice, trust me, the location is excellent. If you plan to go to Thessaloniki to go to the beach, you have to go to Halkidiki (at least 1h10m away by car). It’s worth it but note the hotel is for a city stay and to grab some sea and sun, hiring a car and heading South is a must. (Recommend Auto365 for this). Would certainly return and stay here again.
Capsis Hotel Thessaloniki

Dimokratias Sq.
Although the Monastery is not famous for the quality of the environment it offers, it is a convenient area with a 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of Thessaloniki. The hotel offers a comfortable service, daily hygiene, the expected breakfast even a parking space. The rooms are qualitative and beautiful when the hotel is not complete, because then you may find a less comfortable room. The price benefit ratio is excellent
Domotel Olympia

This hotel is so clean and friendly. The rooms are small but oh the beds!! So comfy i didnt want to get up. The bathrooms are also small and not a lot of room to move about but adequate for one :) the room was made up every day. We had a balcony that again small but adequate for 2 to sit out on. This is a city break hotel. There are no beaches near by, it would be 35 mins in a car to the nearest. We spend 6 nights here. We found a lovely place called the AVENUE by the umbrellas design. It had amble seating outside and was very popular by locals. It overlooked the sea, we recommend going here if you want to relax. The breakfast was continental with some hot food but not much, scrambled egg and mini sausages. There was no toast !! The breakfast choice for us was a little disappointing so we did not go on 3 days of our stay. For those who like to have a kettle, bring your own as there is no room facilities. Luckily mum had bought her travel one and tea bags !! There is a small fridge in the room too. We had a comfortable stay here and walked so much as there is a lot to see here. Restaurants are plentiful nearby, just across the road 20 steps away is a fab restaurant Kanoula that was perfect.
ABC Hotel
