The Excelsior Hotel

The hotel is in a very nice location staff were lovely and amazing

A small luxury hotel in the middle of everything. Comfy beds, pillows, a great breakfast. There is also a indoor paid parking place next to the hotel. ( 20 euro daily) One minus: Our room had a connection room door to the next room, you hear your neighbours’s talk, shower etc.

It is not our first time at the Excelsior and certainly not the last, perfect service , wonderful breakfast and best location . The hotel is not new but wel kept. As for dinner I recommend to reserve a table at restaurant Clochard (adjacent to the hotel)one of the best in town.

This hotel is special, from the moment we arrived in our taxi from the airport it was clear we were welcome! The hotel couldn’t do enough for us. We had coffee on arrival and macrons and a welcome note in our room. Every night they delivered chocolates and a bedtime story to the room, which we thought was really cute, the room its self was light and spacious, the balcony overlooked a shopping street close to Aristotleous Square where there are lots of bars and restaurants. The hotel breakfast was lovely, a vast choice of cereals, pastries and fruit, etc. the receptionists always greeted us with big welcoming smiles and took the time to ask about our day, they made us feel we were the only guests staying there. The whole place was spotlessly clean and tidy. We loved every minute of staying here.. and one day we will definitely return.

My wife and I visited Thessaloniki this week, me for the first time. After much research online I chose the Excelsior Hotel. I'm sure there are many wonderful hotels in Thessaloniki but after our stay here I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The hotel was incredible in every respect. It is centrally located, beautifully decorated, extremely clean, provided all the amenities we needed and the breakfast was extraordinary in my opinion. But most important to me was the service we received from the entire staff upon our arrival until our departure. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels during my career and have never experienced the level of service that we received at the Excelsior. If I owned a hotel I would want people like Ελισάβετ and Γιάννη managing the front desk and taking care of my guests. They both were so very welcoming, friendly, accommodating, professional and competent. Thank you to all the staff but particularly to Ελισάβετ και Γιάννη. We will definitely be staying at the Excelsior during our next visit to Thessaloniki. God bless you all.

I loved Excelsior and would recommend it to anyone looking for a charming luxury hotel at the heart of Thessaloniki. Hotel staff is very kind and attentive to all the details that count. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished. Breakfast is heaven! You will love it.

An absolutely stunning hotel. The room was elegantly furnished with a gorgeous marble bathroom. The daily breakfast offered a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. Conveniently located, it was just a short walk to Electra Palace, where our conference was held. I would definitely choose to stay here again for both business and leisure.

An amazing hotel! Beautifully clean, delicious food and fantastic staff. We were in room 14 which is on the 1st floor of rooms. The room was lovely, when we arrived we had a complimentary bottle of wine, a plate of truffles and a hand written note from the manager. Each night, the maid did a turn down service where we were given chocolates and some bed time reading, which was a really nice touch. The breakfast was exceptional. There was a buffet with fruit, jam, salads, pastries and so on along with a menu to order a cooked breakfast. We tried a variety of the cooked breakfasts on the menu and they were all delicious. The coffee was fantastic and there was proper freshly squeezed orange juice which was delicious. There was also champagne included which was really nice. A special shout out to the waitress Kyriaki who was very pleasant and spoke to us every morning asking how our trip was and telling us about the area. We would not hesitate to book this hotel again, it is definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in.
