Hotels near Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki

We stayed here for 4 nights as a base for visiting Thessaloniki. The hotel is well located on a busy central street. If you want to use the airport bus, it stops right outside. Our city view room was modern and clean, with good facilities. We had a comfortable big bed, fridge, safe, air conditioning and a bathroom with a large shower and a full range of toiletries. There was a coffee machine in the room, you could buy pods if you wanted to use it. The electric blinds were blackout blinds, so the room was nice and dark at night. The windows were effective at keeping out the noise of the traffic. The only issue with the room for us was that after the recent hotel renovation, you still cannot put toilet paper in the toilet, you have to use the bin next to it. Breakfast was good with a big selection of food including cereal, fruit, bread, meat, cheese, hot items, cake and pastries. The staff were helpful. There was a rooftop bar with a good view over the city. I would certainly stay here again if I return to Thessaloniki.

Central, close to tourist attractions and many diverse restaurants. The staff were efficient, helpful and pleasant. We had a single en suite room each which were perfect for a short stay. Everywhere inside was clean and we loved the well-supervised breakfast. It’s worth noting that it’s situated on a side street which is much quieter than the nearby main road…

Very good hotel. With everything you need. To highlight the comfort of the bed. The shower is a bit uncomfortable.

We stayed for 2 nights in this boutique hotel. First I would recommend choosing a Junior Suite for the stay as it is a lot more quite than the rooms looking on the main street in front of the hotel. By the way none of the rooms has a great view, so better looking at the quite backyard. The junior suite was clean and looked nice. Not so big but comfortable. I did not like the bathroom amenities they offer like shower gel etc which was not of good quality. It was also not so nice that the hotel offers no room service and no food for lunch or dinner. They just serve breakfast. The breakfast was ok but could be nicer. I do not understand why they do not treat the guests with coffee of the manual coffee machine instead of fully automatic coffee machine. Staff was really friendly and tried to do everything for the guests. We liked our stay but next time we may choose a different hotel in Thessaloniki.

Very nice hotel, in a perfect location allowed us to find easily spots such as museums, churches, restaurants etc within walking distance. Comfortable and clean rooms. Compliments to all the staff!!

Very attentive staff. Neat and clean hotel with larger rooms and spaces. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The whole hotel is very well maintained. The location is very central - you can walk to the board walk, get to some really good restaurants nearby, go shopping if you like. It’s walkable and wonderful. Highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is very good and close to amenities. Staff were friendly and polite. However, the hygiene was not up to our standards. We had a petrifying experience. Disgusting cockroaches were coming our of the tab while we were having shower! We reported it to the receptionist who apologised. They said that they do pest control regularly. We paid the full price and asked the receptionist to speak to the manager and get back to us on the following morning before our departure. We saw the same receptionist on the following morning but she was hiding behind the front desk. Not her fault but really disappointing that the manager did not come to apologise. They did not even consider to offer a 10% discount out of courtesy as hotels in the UK would normally do. Beds were ok for 1 or 2 sleeps but the mattresses were not comfortable. We all had back issues by the day we left. Breakfast was poor - minimum of choice, fruit compost out of a tin etc. The room was not as described to us on the phone. We thought we had booked a suite with windows on first floor. In reality we booked a suite at a mezzanine level. We had to bend to open the windows and to avoid banging our heads on the wall. The room was not welcoming and airy as we were told. There was a lot of noise coming from the street with the windows open... Overall, although the hotel was close to amenities, our experience was poor. We didn't feel valid as customers. If travellers go for that hotel, first make sure that they don't book 'first' floor rooms and they bring pest killer products in their suitcase!

During our long stay at Hotel Panorama, we experienced exceptionally kind staff and it felt like a family. The views are incredible over the whole city of Thessaloniki. Housekeeping staff made sure the room was cleaned superbly everyday. Breakfast was delicious with a huge variety on offer. The location is quiet and safe and there is easy parking. There is also a beautiful forest walk behind the hotel. There are beautiful drives to explore all around the hotel plus excellent restaurants close by. The hotel is dog friendly so that made everything even more perfect. We appreciated your attention to detail in everything. Very good Covid safety details in place. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will be back!

The staff was really nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and quiet. They gave us an upgrade for free. Although quite a long walk to the center. The breakfast was classic but good. We really enjoyed our stay there and were happy with the accommodation.

Στο ambassador hotel κάναμε τη δεξίωση του γάμου μας και όλα ήταν ονειρικά! Πρώτα απ' όλα, ο Πάρης και οι άνθρωποι του ξενοδοχείου μάς εντυπωσίασαν με τον επαγγελματισμό και την καλοσύνη τους. Έπειτα, το φαγητό δεν θύμιζε σε τίποτα τα κλασικά μενού που όλοι λίγο - πολύ έχουμε φάει (ναι σε αυτά τα ταλαιπωρημένα και ξερά κρέατα αναφέρομαι και στον καταθλιπτικό λαπά για συνοδευτικό). Πεντανόστιμες σαλάτες, θεσπέσια ορεκτικά και ζουμερό κυρίως (όλα σε σωστές θερμοκρασίες παρόλο που είχαμε γύρω στους 130 καλεσμένους)! Η τούρτα ήταν από άλλο πλανήτη και η εξυπηρέτηση δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι καλύτερη, αφού από κανένα τραπέζι δεν έλειψε νερό, αναψυκτικά και ποτά. Εμείς δεν κάναμε τίποτα, όλα ήταν άψογα - συντονισμένα και κανένας καλεσμένος δεν μας παραπονέθηκε, τουναντίον δύο εβδομάδες μετά, βρίσκουν ακόμη τους γονείς μας και τους λένε πως ποτέ ξανά σε γάμο δεν πέρασαν τόσο ωραία. Το ambassador τα συνδυάζει όλα: τοποθεσία (μια καταπληκτική πισίνα σε έναν ολάνθιστο κήπο), ποιότητα και ποσότητα (το φαγητό ήταν εξίσου - για να μην πω πιο νόστιμο - από το δοκιμαστικό που κάναμε), ευγένεια και κυρίως επαγγελματισμό και αγάπη γι' αυτό που κάνουν. Μεγάλο συν, μας διέθεσαν τη σουίτα για την πρώτη νύχτα και φτάνοντας από τη εκκλησία μας έφεραν φαγητό στο δωμάτιο για να τσιμπήσουμε κάτι, μέχρι να έρθει η ώρα να φάμε κανονικά. Σας ευχαριστούμε μέσα απ΄ την καρδιά μας που κάνατε εκείνη τη μέρα μοναδική και αξέχαστη και ευχόμαστε τα καλύτερα!
