After scanning the entire Côte d’Azur for the perfect stay with my wife, I was happy to have found chateau de theoule. Online it looked beautiful and it seemed to be in a great location, and upon arrival it was beautiful. BUT this hotel is just not ready to service the caliber of guests they’re expecting to attract. At check in was the first time they informed about their $1400 euro hold on your account for damages…in addition to having to pay your full stay at the same time (this part is typical in France). If you rent a car like we did, the parking is $50 per day…worth it I guess. Then we were escorted to our room however, we came to find out at the end of our stay that the person that escorted us should’ve told us about the free services/amenities available to us at the spa during the stay…after a 5 night 6 day stay, that was not fun to hear. Their spa had a jacuzzi that was not working on that last day and neither was one of the plunge tubs. Going back to the first night there..we checked-in in the evening so by the time we showered and changed their restaurants were not serving dinner…the only option was the bar menu at the lounge area…which honestly is beautiful and a great setting. I ordered a tequila reposado..the waiter asked if Don Julio reposado would be fine fine I said sure. Later come to find out that he serviced us Don Julio 1942 and the price was $70 euros per drink. The menu they had given us said 1942 was $45 per drink and they had a cheaper reposado for about $22…so I figured Don Julio reposado would be about $30 per drink…but I def did not request 1942…after all that they say the menu pricing changed that night and it was their mistake so they discounted it to make it right. Some more negatives in my opinion is the $40 per person per day for the breakfast. You literally have the option for omelets and assortments of breads and croissants. There’s a bakery right across the street that if I had known (bad planning on my part) I would’ve just walked across and paid $8 for the same. Another negative is that the property is sandwiched between two public beaches which people arrive to at 8am everyday…nothing wrong with some local culture and atmosphere but for the price you’re paying to stay here, you want to have some privacy and exclusivity. You don’t have that here. On the beach note, make sure you check your bill at check out because their beach club charged us $90 for a day however we never even used the beach club…good thing is they corrected their error and removed the charge….btw There aren’t any security cameras anywhere, there aren’t any security personnel at the front gate which is right on the public street, no security personel outside if you stay out late…and we met several people that had expensive items stolen from their rooms…from over $1k cash to $6k channel jacket…some more positives, the rooms are decorated nicely and we had a spacious room with a spacious shower which had a beautiful glass looking over to the be

This is a newly renovated fantastic hotel which I would definitely recommend but there are some improvements to be made. We stayed in the main chateau and the room was very big with an upstairs area with an extra bed and plenty of storage for clothes. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom very nice with double sink. The pool area was great with comfortable sun loungers. The beach club is nice but much more pricey than the other restaurants locally. The hotel itself is stunning and a great location next to the beach. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and the service was good. There are also 5-6 restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk that are great for an evening meal to try other places. The spa was great with jacuzzi and sauna/steam and the massages were excellent. Note the gym not yet open - open late July they said. You should definitely stay here but the improvements that should be made are as follows: 1. Upon arrival, we were told it would be 50euros per night parking. I then spent 15 mins trying to find somewhere to park locally cheaper but it was packed. This coupled with no welcome drink isn’t exactly a 5 star arrival. The parking rate needs to be cheaper/included and better communicated. 2. 35 euro per beach bed charge for hotel residents isn’t right. The room rate is expensive for a reason - I’ve never been to a hotel that charges for it before. Don’t make people pay for the privilege of using something that should be included. 3. On arrival we were told the minibar was free. We then asked on day 2 for it to be topped up and then we got charged on the bill. 4. Water bottles were given some days in the room but not others. 5. Found it confusing when booking what our room would be like. There could be a better gallery of what each room looks like. You should definitely stay here in the area though

The property is absolutely beautiful, a mix of historic architecture and newly built villas with a spectacular view of the Mediterranean! The grounds are meticulously kept and the private beach access provides a relaxing atmosphere. Our four night experience in one of the second floor villa rooms which was perfectly decorated was highly memorable. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and when we were escorted to our room we were met with a beautiful bottle of champagne and lovely note welcoming us! I will tell you, the view from our room overlooking the Mediterranean is unmatched in our travels! We found all the staff to be well trained, professional while engaging and always friendly. Specifically Anna and Claudia at the front desk were very gracious and always looking for ways to enhance our experience. Liam at our car was the first staff member to greet us when we arrived. He was super engaging and set a very positive tone for our experience to come. In summary, I would definitely recommend Chateau de Théoule. Given it has only been open for three months, I would expect the Millésime group will work out the new property kinks and when they do, it will be a place you will definitely want to visit! Cheers

Booked a stay at Chateau Theoule, but heads up! There are actually two hotels there. They put us in Melisne, claiming it's from the same group. Same gate, but totally different vibe. If you're dreaming of a castle stay, call them before booking—website is misleading! Avoid ground floor rooms, especially room 25. It's super noisy with echoes and the lift nearby will keep you up all night. You can hear everything from the top floor too. Plus, hospitality was lacking—I was even asked if I was a guest while at the pool, despite being right next to room 25. Chateau Theoule itself is amazing, but Melisne next door is not worth it at all. Save yourself the trouble and double-check your booking!

We had an excellent stay at Théoule Castle at the end of April. The place is absolutely magical, the castle has been completely renovated and superbly decorated. The rooms are very beautiful, we had a lovely terrace with a view of the swimming pool and the sea. The staff is extremely kind, professional and attentive. The spa is splendid and we were lucky to have the place almost to ourselves. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious, made with high quality ingredients. In short, we highly recommend this little corner of paradise and hope to be back soon.

Where to start... the building is sublime and all the spaces are tastefully decorated, you feel good there from the moment you arrive. The disconnection continues throughout the stay thanks to an attentive, smiling and dedicated team! Thanks to Fanny and her entire Reception team for their warm welcome. We discover a spacious room with sea view + pool view, everything is designed so that we can make the most of this view, the bathroom mirror once again offers a lovely reflection of the Mediterranean. What can we say about the Bar, its decoration and the cocktail menu!!! A team of brilliant bartenders led by Valentin who are full of ideas to surprise you and it works! We had dinner at the Mareluna gourmet restaurant, what a superb discovery. Chef Francesco Fezza offers a gastronomic experience that is worth the star. Here, everything is homemade, even the bread! On your plate, Japan, Italy and France merge – everything is said… The room service is a broom, and everyone takes great care. Thanks to Yann for helping us so accurately with the choice of wines. Breakfast served on the terrace facing the port is a moment of pure happiness and the service has a lot to do with it, you feel pampered! In short, to put at the top of your list of new addresses to discover on the coast! We will come back very soon!

The hotel just opened at the beginning of March, beautiful gardens and comfortable sun loungers by the pool, a direct view of the Bay of Cannes from the terrace, the service is very attentive and tries to make everything possible! The renovation of the hotel is 100% successful, great understated colors, good transitions between old and new, perhaps a little too decorated with shells and other details, sloppy seating... lots of velvet...) Apart from the dim lighting, the restaurant is simply delicious... great dishes (veal with sardines!*****, green asparagus with crispy dumplings! *****, decorations on the plate, coordinated and perfect!)
