"The view from the window is really super beautiful, so beautiful that it seems unreal. Hahaha. During the two-day stay, I didn't meet a Chinese front desk. It was a bit difficult for those who are not good at English to communicate. The breakfast room has a Chinese menu, but the breakfast is very Western. A little koala is given for children to add a bed. The hotel is not very convenient around. You can only walk to the observatory and you have to take a taxi when you go out. But the beautiful scenery is enough. The room with the opera house view that I booked was arranged in the last few rooms, and there were trees behind! Fortunately, the floor is OK. We are on the 2nd floor, which is 0-3 floors. Room ordering is available 24 hours a day, and the price is not expensive and is similar to that outside. There is no service charge and the appearance and taste of the products are not bad. After returning to China, when I checked the mailbox bill, I found that I was charged for an extra breakfast on the second day. It was troublesome to send an email to the hotel myself. I contacted Ctrip and communicated with it. I received a call reply within two hours, and the hotel refunded me the extra fee on the third day. Thank you Ctrip for your active communication."

"The highlight of our stay was definitely the stunning view from our room and balcony—absolutely amazing. The location couldn’t have been better, with most attractions within walking distance. Watching the Vivid Light Show from the comfort of our balcony was a particularly memorable experience.
However, the room itself was quite dated and in need of refurbishment. The carpet was noticeably worn with dark patches, and parts of the bathroom were peeling. On the plus side, housekeeping did service the room daily, which was appreciated.
One downside was the misleading information about parking. Although the website mentioned parking, there was none available on-site. We had to use Wilson's parking next door, which came at a steep price.
All in all, I’d recommend this hotel for the location and views alone, but be prepared for a room that’s seen better days."

"Excellent location, friendly staff and good service. The room was ready 15 minutes past the check-in time 2pm, the friendly staff gave us a bottle of wine to make up as he noticed we were a group of friends catching up for a weekend."
"Location was amazing, and you can park there too. Valet parking, just pull up at the side of the building and let the reception know. The pool on the roof has impressive views of both the bridge and the opera house. Our bathroom could have done with a lick of paint but the room was clean and well kept."
"Location was a bit tricky. You needa walk uphills with your luggage to the hostel. The hotel had a rooftop with an opera house view. The location was close to the Rock market, Pancakes on the Rock. It’s also in walkable distance to the circular quay and opera house.
Early self check-in was allowed.
In the compartment, usb charging was also available.
A cabinet was provided. Your own padlock was required to lock the cabinet.
No shampoo/ body wash/ toothpaste/ toothbrush were provided, which was acceptable as a hostel.
Free luggage storage after check-out was available."
"Service: All the staff were friendly and hospitable.
Cleanliness: Clean and well maintained.
Facilities: Poor compared to hotel grade.
- The pool is too small.
- Gym Facilities Are Too Poor
Location: BEST
The hotel is old and the facilities are worn out overall. However it was clean and well maintained
The best thing about this hotel is the location.
The view from our room on the harbour side was so stunning and impressive.
However, the size of the room was too small and inconvenient.
So overall, I'd give it about 4 out of 5 stars."
"Facilities: Overall, better than I expected. It has a classic Shangri-La style, and since I wasn't expecting it to be brand new, I'd say the service and location are its strongest points.
Cleanliness: The lobby had a consistent, pleasant scent, which was very comforting.
Location: The location is fantastic; we could walk to many places, and there were plenty of convenient dining options nearby.
Service: The service at the hotel's 36th-floor restaurant deserves a special mention. While the food wasn't particularly outstanding, the service was absolutely impeccable. They even replaced a dish immediately when the taste wasn't right. What truly stood out was the lobby bar: after I ordered an orange juice for my child, the staff, upon seeing us with our luggage, decided not to charge for it, saying it was a gift for the little one. It was a very thoughtful and heartwarming gesture."
"Marriott hotel is located 5 minutes walking distance from Circular Quay Station. Many restaurants nearby, but many closes by 8pm. Nearest McDonald’s opens 24hours, located just opposite the train station. Pitt Street Mall is a 15 minutes walk down the street. Shopping malls and supermarkets are located there. Sydney Opera House is also within walking distance from hotel.
Booked 2 rooms, placed request to have both rooms on the same level but they did not accommodate to the request. So we had 2 rooms on 2 levels. Which was quite inconvenient. One of the rooms we were allocated had a bathtub and separate rain shower area. Rooms were of decent size. Pillows were uncomfortable. Right opposite of the hotel was an office building. Opera House is located to the left of the window. Caught a firework show on my last night there as there was an event at the opera house.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at Marriott."
