It’s a beautiful property with extremely friendly staff , the cleanliness is immaculate and the food is fantastic! I especially loved the interactions and customer service experiences from Mr. Kannaiah , Bharathi Raja , Anand and Jesuraj . It’s in the city centre and just 5 minutes from the Big Temple .

Sangam is a pleasant hotel with friendly staff, fresh food, and clean rooms, making it a solid choice for family vacations. Everything we ate in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. We had booked an Executive room and specified a King bed through a travel site, but were given a twin bed instead. It seemed the hotel was fully booked and couldn't accommodate our request, though the allotted room itself was quite spacious. There are, however, areas for improvement. Service management in the restaurant needs attention, particularly during breakfast, when it appeared short-staffed. This resulted in noticeable delays and confusion with orders. For example, one morning we requested a dosa but were mistakenly served an omelet. While we accepted it, such errors should be avoided. Additionally, there was some confusion with billing, with a discrepancy of around Rs. 400. After 20 minutes of trying to resolve the issue, we decided to pay the difference and move on. Housekeeping also left room for improvement; we found dust on the cupboards, and the bathroom drain was clogged. Despite these minor issues, our overall experience was very positive, and we would certainly recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at Sangam Hotel, and while the hotel boasts an excellent location, spacious rooms, and great food, my experience was unfortunately marred by discriminatory treatment and unprofessional service. First, the positives: The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The in-house restaurant serves delicious food, with a wide range of well-prepared dishes. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, contributing to an overall pleasant stay. However, the most concerning part of our visit occurred during dinner. We were the first ones to enter the restaurant, but the entire restaurant was reserved for foreign guests. We politely requested if we could at least be accommodated at a table outside near the pool, but they didn't have any such arrangements. We were told to either wait until the foreign guests finished or to order room service. This was deeply hurtful and insulting, especially since we were paying guests too. As a result, we had no choice but to dine at a restaurant outside the hotel. The situation was made worse by the fact that foreign guests were treated with far more respect, attention, and courtesy throughout our stay, which left us feeling unwelcome and devalued. After returning home, I took the time to contact the General Manager to express my concerns. I was pleased to find that he acknowledged the mistake and promised to take the necessary actions to ensure that such discrimination does not occur again in the future. While I appreciate his willingness to address the issue, the experience left a lasting negative impression. I hope that the management takes swift and genuine steps to ensure all guests, regardless of nationality, are treated with equal respect and dignity moving forward.

We had the most lovely stay at Sangam Hotel. It's an old charming property and the facilities are top notch. We stayed in a 3 bed and the room actually had three beds and not a makeshift additional bed. We were assisted by Shweta at front desk, who was the most helpful and arranged a room for us on the last day even though we didn't have a booking and hotel was fully booked. Thank you Shweta! All the staff was very attentive and the breakfast was also a good spread. Would highly recommend Sangam to everyone staying in Thanjavur.

Yes, this is a four star hotel but it is a five star hotel in terms of functionality, cleanliness, service and food quality. The room was practical and everything worked as expected. Can get a bit of traffic noise for those who are sensitive to these things bit was not a major issue for me.
