Mantra Koodam Kumbakonam - a CGH Earth Experience

There's a peacock on the premises. This peacock is not scared of guests, so I could photograph it from several angles. Mantra Koodam is somewhat like this peacock. With just a day's stay, I got a close-up view of what it has to offer. Everything it offers, from the room to the facilities, food, and people, is perfect - as perfect as its temples, which date back to the 12th century CE, when the Cholas, Pallavas, or the Thanjavur Nayaks newly constructed them.

We were here for a couple of nights at this beautiful property and we totally enjoyed our stay. We would definitely love to be here again and repeat the experience. The setting was serene, the rooms were spacious and the service was impeccable. The staffers were quite friendly, prompt and efficient. While the stay was 5/5, couldn’t help but rate this property 3/5 because the arrangements provided for the chauffeurs were below par as per report. This we thought was unacceptable and the management should have taken greater care to provide better arrangements when the property is away from the city limits and in a secluded spot. Hope the management will take remedial measures

We booked a large villa Ilam for 2 nights. The villa is a stand alone one with a large room that includes the living room , a bathroom indoor and outdoor but wc not separated. There is no door between the indoor/outdoor of the bathroom . This is not enjoyable as it is overheated as well the outdoor shower is small so useless. The bathroom needs a makeover. This resort is nice for families with children as there are many activities organised with a focus on the local culture which is great. The food is not exceptional, as well there is no bar. No alcohol served . We were not allowed to bring our own wine at the restaurant as other guest before were obviously allowed. We adapted but it seems this rule needs to be clarified. Also the resort can be noisy if you are a light sleeper as peacocks scream at night as well . Despite the noise of the AC inside our villa, we could clearly hear the noises all night which does not contribute to a calm environment . The garden and alleys need some cleaning Temperatures were high while staying. It would be good to install a fan on the villa’s terrace.

Mantra Koodam property is an excellent place that offers joy to all age groups. Traditional cottages with a lot of goodies to pamper oneself. Some of the highlights during our stay was welcome drink with refreshments, tea shop that serves milk tea and coffee/snacks at 6:30 AM and at 16:00, swimming pool, peacocks, birds singing, cool bathroom, amazing staff!

We stoped at Mantra Koodam on our way to Puduchery for lunch. The ambience was excellent and the staffs were so helpful and kind. Restaurent look amazing and they have an elaborate menu and the foods were authentic. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Excellent choice for stay and family gathering. Food is great and hospitality is wonderful. If you travel to kumbakonam or around make sure this is chosen as your place of stay if you want a serene, calm and a nice getaway experience.........
