Not recommended, it was a very tired holiday unit. There had been a mix up with accommodation, and the two bedroom units were not ideal for our group. In addition, I was charged extra ( due to the configuration of our guest group), and yet the additional bed was not prepared. Only stayed one night, but would not stay there again.

The owners are lovely and down to earth. Elena took the time to help us find a place that suits our needs best. The park is beautiful, surrounded by trees and hills, plus the Tararu river goes right through, ending with a gorgeous waterhole inside the park. We only needed a place to stay and ended up having an incredibly enjoyable time, and can't wait to come back and check out the hiking trails nearby. Totally worth it:)

Friendly staff, all of the facilities were really clean. I got some useful tips from the reception staff on spots to swim in the creek, and they were happy to take my details to look out for me when I was hiking solo to the Pinnacles summit. Can’t fault it for the price of a bed in a shared dorm! Good location and a decent amount of options for cooking (oven, grill, hob, toaster, BBQs). The avocado tree across from reception also was a great bonus - I was gutted that there weren’t any ripe enough to eat over the few days I stayed.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to give this super low review, and cannot recommend this Holiday Park to anyone staying more then one night and using the Holiday Park as a pass through traveling up the Thames Coast. My family and I have been using this Holiday Park regularly for 20 years and twice in 2023 we have had to tolerate rude, entitled and incompetent customer service from Lisa with her "what you see is what you get" attitude (yes Lisa actually said this), we are unable to further tolerate in the future. #1 Tip for the Holiday Park is Lisa as first point of contact has to go! Four nights stay in Caravan D at $120.00 per night (peak season) Unpowered tent sight on a flat level section $60.00 per night, next to the Pioneers Kitchen. Holiday Park was not busy over peak season. Car parks available.

A very popular old school Holiday camp site. We stay there often. Clean, tidy and eco friendly. Great location to township and coastal beaches. Management are friendly. Cleaning staff are efficient and helpful. Well be going back to stay this summer as well. The swimming pool is clean and a definite bonus in for an evening swim after all day at the beach.

We thought we would see how the new owners had changed the camp after the old owners had lost interest in it. And the new owners are no better!! The standard of cleanliness in the ablution block did not exist. They should read their own signs in there Toilets stunk no replacement towels etc
