We stayed at the Hotel Flamingo for a week in early October in a superior Sea View Room which is situated above the main building with a view over the swimming Pool and with a good sea view. The room is of reasonable size and comprises a balcony with table and chairs, twin beds placed together, bedside cabinets with lighting, dressing table with drawers / large desk with mirror, chair, easy chair, flat screen TV, small fridge - mini bar, kettle, Large wardrobe with hangers and 4 drawers, room safe, bathroom with large walk in shower, WC, Bidet, basin plus complimentary toiletries (no bath). Plenty of storage space. Free WIFI. The room and the whole hotel were spotlessly clean and well maintained. The grounds are very pleasant with plenty of greenery and a large attractive swimming pool again kept very clean. Free sunbeds and sunshades around the pool. The Hotel has its own beach marked out with netting. The beach is sandy, but with a very stony area as you enter the sea before sand again, but if swimming you should have footwear to get over the stones. There are nice walks in both directions along the beach and in surrounding area. This is quite an underdeveloped area with a few medium sized hotels well spread out and a couple of up market camp sites set amongst pine trees. Not busy in the area at the time of our stay. There is a large car park and a bus stop just outside the hotel entrance - bus running about every 90 minutes to Pula in one direction and Santa Margareta in the other. The food was of good quality at breakfast and in the evening on Half Board basis. Buffet in the morning and waiter service in the evening. However the actual service was not good - not through lack of effort, but appeared to be short of waiting staff - quite slow in the evening on occasions and replenishment of the buffet salad bar in the evening and with items at breakfast was slow. On the subject of food there is a very good restaurant, Ortoristorante, a couple of hundred yards down the narrow road from Hotel which is very good indeed - we had an al fresco meal there which was really excellent in the gardens. There is a very interesting large Roman Site at nearby Nora which is certainly worth a visit. Our stay cost 272 Euros per night (about £240) Half Board which is on the high side I think in comparison. However we enjoyed our stay - previously stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and has probably improved a bit on then. There were some small aggravations: 1. Supposed to be dressing gown and slippers provided in room - not there and despite chasing only slippers arrived. 2. Supposed to have a free session at the Health Centre, but had closed on 15th September. 3. Supposed to have free paddle board Session, but not available. 4. Charged 3 Euros for each beach towel and 3 Euros again every time that you want to change it !! 5. Just arrived back from a weeks holiday with 10 members of my family , this place is in need of an upgrade , it’s no way 4 star , more like 2 , it is clean and in a good location , that’s the good points , but the rooms are very basic , no tea/ coffee making facilities , and when I asked for a kettle I was told no by a very rude manager , who actually shouted at me , no mini bar as advertised , in fact your not even allowed to put your own drinks in the fridge or they will be confiscated , the breakfast is basic , the swimming pools were dirty especially the children’s pool , it had green slime all around the edge , the whole place felt unloved and uncared for which is a shame , most of the staff are lovely , but the manager is awful and very rude , this place is massively overpriced , there are much better places to stay in pula area

L'hotel Capo Blu é fantastico, una struttura immersa nella natura nella quale si può godere di colori, odori e sapori del mediterraneo con vista sul mare. Il nostro soggiorno é stato atipico, tornavamo dal nostro matrimonio ma non lo abbiamo fatto sapere alla struttura. Una volta arrivati in loco abbiamo ricevuto un'accoglienza speciale, ricca di grandi e piccoli gesti, sorprese fatte con il cuore dai gestori che ci hanno fatto sentire davvero speciali. la location e’ di una bellezza meravigliosa, piccole casette immerse nella macchia mediterranea con vista mare certo non tutte dipende dal prezzo ma nel complesso tutte veramente graziose. parco ben tenuto , con fiori e piante diversi ci si gira a piedi o con le comode macchinine guidate da personale molto cordiale. le camere almeno la mia stupenda super confortevole con una vista mozzafiato. per quanto riguarda il cibo forse si potrebbe fare qualcosa di meglio essendo un resort 5 stelle S , direi che andrebbe migliorata sia l’offerta monotona ripetitiva che la qualità che ho notato essere scesa dall ‘ anno scorso a quest’ anno. la spiaggia, dell hotel merita ci si accede tramite degli scalini ma si sa siamo in sardegna … e per chi la conosce sa di cosa parliamo ma ne vale la pena.. ma ora veniamo a ciò che si puo e di deve migliorare , la pulizia delle camere a mio avviso deve essere più accurata per un resort di tale livello , capisco che in vacanza si è particolarmente disordinati ma e’ necessaria un ‘ attenzione in più per la categoria dell’ albergo! infine secondo me bisogna rivedere i prezzi degli extra , certo e’ un posto bellissimo di mare capisco tutto ma i costi per caffè mi sono sembrati davvero esagerati senza menzionare altri costi dell acqua ecc, Sicuramente capisco che i costi della struttura del personale sono notevoli , ma il prezzo per accedere alla vacanza lì copre tutti ampiamente , secondo me questo aspetto deve essere rivisto anche perché ne compromette un immagine davvero meravigliosa. Altro aspetto da migliorare il Mini Club , i inesistente nel Resort ma i bambini devono essere condotti al Resort adiacente sempre facente parte della struttura , ma io ho trovato molto scomodo dover accompagnare la mia bambina su e giù da un resort all altro anche per il fatto di non averla sotto’ occhio . aspetto davvero da migliorare sia come organizzazione del mini club che come organizzazione logistica.
