Before returning to Salt Lake City, I stayed for one night in the small town of Jackson. The cabin facilities are still very complete. I went to the big supermarket 5 minutes drive to buy some ingredients and made a dinner. It is very convenient. It is very close to the city center and a 10-minute walk. No need to drive, the overall evaluation is still good. I saw a group of deer in the yard in the morning

Very crowded in the small town of Jackson, the hotel feels very western. Parking is free and the location is slightly tight. At the time of booking, it was originally fixed for one day. Later, the itinerary changed and added another day. However, I don’t know why. I negotiated with the front desk for a long time. I couldn’t live for two days. I had to check out the next morning and stay in the afternoon. It was a bit helpless.

The hotel is in a good environment and the room is very clean, but staying here for two days is a wrong decision. Because the Pinghe Hotel is too far from Huangshi Park, there is a big Teton Park in the middle to buy a 35-dollar ticket. So if we come back, we will choose to stay at the Yellowstone Hostel in West Yellowstone for two nights. After the last day, we will live in the Pinghe Hotel, so we will run less and avoid unnecessary tickets. The video below is the Pinghe Hotel

So, ouch. I’m a total died-in-the-wool Hilton fanatic, and I rarely have cause to complain about any stay whether it is a Home2 or a resort property. This stay, though, was troubling. This is NOT a resort property and the parking lot is just space behind the hotel. At $19 per night. Self parking, insufficient parking, lot being sealcoated. $19 per night. We had to walk to dinner the 2nd night because the 1st night we left for an hour and when we returned at 6pm we got the LAST space. Ummm. $19 per night. Next, we found out AFTER leaving things in our room and leaving that 1st evening that closing our door (even slamming the door) did not latch it. Only about 30+ pounds of lift on the handle of the closed door would latch it. Front desk seemed rather non-plussed by this revelation of a major security issue. Next, the blackout shade in one room just fell during our stay. We notified the front desk when it started and was asked “How did THAT happen?” Ummm, you tell me? And no offer to come try to fix it or anything. And, finally, it was in the 20s overnight. Heat did not work. Thankfully, the suite had a fireplace. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice. Room was clean and quiet. Fridge was cold. Staff was friendly if not particularly responsive to the room problems. This property is undergoing a renovation and this may explain some or all of the issues experienced.

Originally thought that the hotel would be very old, but did not expect the environment to be very good, the town is very lively, there are many tourists, the town's steakhouse is impressive, the steak is very delicious

Comfortable room and bed. Fine sized bathroom with wash basin outside the toilet/shower room. Beds were comfortable. Great location on the edge of the town centre.. Nice reception with good, rural style befitting the area/town. Like many similar hotels it’s a bit ‘beige’ and would benefit from more modernisation. But it has everything it needs including a pool. Staff were great. Toiletries were good quality. Breakfast was fine but only just….the food was distinctly ok and the room was too small for the size of hotel and gets very busy. I think it’s probably one of the better hotels in the town. Bars and restaurants are closeby.
