The website was very misleading and only shows the most scenic and decent parts of this campground. (Which are are few and far between) The only good part was how clean the showers were. The restaurant looked good too but was expensive ($40/adult for ther buffet) so we did not go to the dinner buffet, The reception was rude when I asked to move sites and made accusations that weren’t related to us. They went on a rant about how they warned my husband this isn’t “big rig friendly campground ”. While all along, they were thinking we were someone else that had checked in a day before us. No apology whatsoever for mistaking us for someone else. Perhaps know who you’re taking tk before you attack them and accuse them falsely. They were more polite to my husband the next day but were very rude when we arrived. Upper campground is AWFUL. Right on the highway, NO privacy between sites and we couldn’t even extend our awning fully because the sites are so narrow. Our slide was right up against a tree on the other side. And we only have a 26’ trailer…. Nothing huge. Be prepared for the neighboring site’s picnic table to basically be right beside your trailer. Acorns were also constantly falling from the tree like it was raining acorns. It says something when the reception agrees the sites aren’t ideal and the website is misleading…… Rowdy cabin folks too. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but left after 1. That’s how bad it was…. They DID refund us 1 night when we told them we were leaving early. This was appreciated Would not recommend or return to this campground.

After riding close to 900 kms on our motorcycles from Fort McMurray, we checked in to the Tete Jaune Lodge. Check in was simple, the owner very friendly. The lodge rooms are large, clean & very comfortable. We walked a few steps down the hill to the restaurant which is right on the river. Buffet dinner, albeit expensive, was delicious. After dinner, we had nice showers & a good sleep in very comfortable beds. The restaurant is not open for breakfast (brunch on Sundays only) but the hotel owner recommended a nearby restaurant for us. Very, very lovely lodge. We hope to return sometime.

Highly recommend this hidden treasure. Beautiful location, exceptionally clean grounds. They have considered everything to make your stay enjoyable. Flush toilets, great showers, bath mats an unexpected nice touch and a washing station with hot water you can utilize. The cabins are simple but clean and well kept. Ted and family take great pride in grounds and it is evident everywhere you look. The restaurant is also great, a nice touch after a long day of travel. The food was super, hats off the the chef and staff!

On our way to Prince George we stayed one night with our RV. The camp site is on the shore of Fraser River and the views on the mountains are stunning. Lounge chairs are placed next to the river and in the afternoon it is great to sit down and read a book during sunset. The washrooms are of a high standard and among the best we experienced during our 4 week trip through BC. In the evening we enjoyed the buffet from the restaurant and seated on the patio with view on the river. Note a rafting company can be found within 10 minutes drive.

Wish we had stayed 2 nights. It was deceiving at first due to the age of the building. Room was large and beds were comfortable and, check in staff were more than willing to help make your stay more comfortable. The view of the river and mountains was incredible. The reason for only 4 out of 5 was because we were there at the beginning of the week and the Restaurant wasn’t open. It would have been great to try that, especially since it sits right on the river.

Spent 2 nights in our RV on this site and would like to visit regularly if we lived in Canada. The washrooms were to a very high standard and the views from the site are stunning with its location next to the river. We also ate in the restaurant and had a wonderful meal.

What a beautiful hidden gem! We stayed for only 1 night, travelling to Jasper. Which was a shame, because the campground was absolutely beautiful! Situated next to the river, great amenities, very friendly staff. Nice little playground. Wow! Would definitely recommend staying here.

I booked a room through *********** about 3 weeks ago before taking my mother on a trip to Valemount. I chose this place after seeing their pictures with the nice sitting areas and the building next to the river. We got there around 6 pm. There was an old gentleman who did my check in. I was given a room (I think room 4 or 5) in a building by a busy road. The rooms next to ours were occupied by some firefighters who were smoking by their door. The room was very dark and it smelled like a smoking room based on the strong weird smell we noticed inside. The door lock was very old (we were given one old style key) and seemed unreliable. No internet password was offered to us, so I don't know if the place has wifi! I went back and asked the gentleman if he was sure that the room he gave me was a non-smoking room. He said: "Why? Do you want to smoke?" Than I asked him if he could give us a different room in the building by the river. I mentioned that the room he gave us was by a busy road and next to some firefighters with their pick up trucks parked right in front of our door, so I doubted the room would be quiet. The gentleman became increasingly frustrated and started an argument about the firefighters, raising his voice. He told me: "If you are SPOILED, you can take your money back and leave!" I was shocked! I told him that I was looking for a room in the building by the river, as I am a nurse working in a hospital and I came there to spend four relaxing days. He cut me off in the middle of my sentence: "I don't care why you are here!" I said: "so, you don't care about your customers!" When I told him that I visited Valemount last year, he asked me why I booked at his place now. I told him that the nice pictures with the rooms in the building by the river made me come at his place. It was around 0630 pm when I returned to the room to look for other motels around. I was luck to find plenty of rooms available in Jasper which was only one hour away. I was extremely tired after being on the rood the entire day, however, I realized that it was better to leave this place than staying at a place of someone who does not have manners, and verbally abuses his customers. I got my money back and returned to Jasper. While leaving this place,I told this guy that what made me leave was mainly his attitude and lack of customer service! Bottom line is that the gentleman owner of the place needs to learn some customer service skills, otherwise they would lose customers!
