This is an old monastery turned hotel / pousada. It’s a very nice structure/building with an interesting history.

It was a very pleasant stay! The staff is very professional and always making sure our stay is the best it can be! The breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. Hope I have the opportunity to return and enjoy it again! I surly recommend it!

We were there on a self guided Portugal Nature trails biking trip. Beautiful historic property close to many restaurants. The gardens were lovely with tables we could enjoy sipping some wine after our biking. The only negative with the property was that our rooms were not ready until 4:30 the day we arrived at 3:30 on bikes. They showed us to the bar to wait. Only problem was that there is not a resident bar tender. You have to go find him every time you want a beer. May I suggest a bell? Our rooms were lovely with beautiful patios. Nice bathrooms but the beds were a little hard. The breakfast was wonderful!

Beautiful property with very common room. Room had a balcony with a chair and large sun umbrella. Nice desk. Great sitting g chair. Internet free and fast. Lots of electrical plugs. Clean bathroom with amenities. Main areas - bar/lounge with fire place. Dining areas spectacular. Courtyard with fountain and pomegranate trees. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast and dinner outstanding. Worth coming back.

Beautifully furnished in rustic style befitting the old convent building, with good quality heavy fabrics. Our room 105 had a large double bed in a sunken area with ensuite and mezzanine above. The breakfast buffet was amazing, so much choice. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings we were there (only weekends in March) but we found a great local restaurant nearby (O Safari). Very helpful staff. Only complaints were some road noise at night and the bath taps and plug didn't work well, though fine for a shower.

A nice place to stay at a nice town to visit. The warmest welcome you can expect. The hotel would benefit from some small refurbishments but the gentle and professional staff overcomes that. Very good value for money.

Really nice suite. The main cons were the terrible restaurant and the air-conditioning not working in one of the rooms. The water on the pool was cloudy and dirty. The pousada itself was a beautiful building, however in the need of some care.

Lovely old hotel that we found ourselves getting lost in.We ate as a large group of cyclists in the restaurant and all really enjoyed our meals.Pool environment was very relaxing Only slightly negative comment was shower water not very hot.

The hotel is very good! The staff are all friendly and attentive. Everything was fine, nothing to complain about. Less than 500m from the hotel there are good restaurants. We will be back one day for sure.
