Looking at previous reviews, it seems the hotel has had a recent face lift. The bed was comfortable and the other accommodations were satisfactory. I especially appreciated coffee and breakfast. As a woman traveling alone, it's important to me to stay somewhere safe where the staff cares about their patrons. I was totally comfortable and felt well taken care during my stay.

The hotel was—if I can believe the Dumont travel guide—built to German standards and used by the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) during the ISAF mission. It's located about 1 km from the train station. The facade and lobby are attractive, but not the rooms, which are showing their age. However, the air conditioning worked well, and the breakfast buffet was decent. So, it's okay for the reasonable price.

I can't explain the low rating of this property. The receptionist was very kind and allowed us an early check-in. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and quiet. Nothing was missing. Very good breakfast buffet, basically you have lunch. The only flaw: there is no elevator, but the hotel staff carried our luggage up. The location is also excellent, a few steps from the archaeological museum. Highly recommended
