What a lovely hotel! It is found on the main square and stepping out into a UNESCO area each day is special. The hotel were very quick to add a topper to our hard bed - I wish I’d asked for one before our first night. The rooms on the 4th floor looking out onto the botanical gardens are quiet and it’s a great view - choose numbers 401-411 The AC works quietly and well and even though it was 27C outside one day our room cooled to a pleasant 22C and allowed us to have a break from the midday sun. They do give you a kettle but if you’d like coffee bring your own as they only provide teabags - not a problem but slightly unusual. Breakfast is a bit of a scrum but once you find your way around the dishes it’s ok. The dining room seems a bit functional to me and doesn’t suggest a 4* hotel - we decided it was not a place for us In the evenings. Swimming pool and gym both lovely and towels easily accessed. The terrace is very sunny and a pleasant place when it’s not quite so hot! Very happy here and can recommend it

I was offered a 'quiet' room to the back as by receptions own admission front rooms were noisy due to cobblestone roads. The room was directly over aircon system, generating a constant hum even with windows closed. The bathroom is badly designed, with tight toilet situation. Despite rooms appearing available on booking websites, reception stated I could not move for first two nights. I was told I would be moved further along corridor. On my lateish return, I was then allocated a room to the street - even noisier than before. In addition, despite the manger originally claiming all bathroom designs were the same, this turned out to be inaccurate as the room I was moved to had a well-designed bathroom. Basically, I feel I was just messed around by reception, creating stress and spoiling the last days of the holiday and for the above reasons would not recommend.

My partner and I stayed at the Angra Marina Hotel late November 2023. The Hotel was located in Angra Do Heroismo overlooking Mount Brazil and the harbor. IT was a perfect location for our walking adventures and we took in the beautiful city of Angra Do Heroismo enjoying the local beauty of the town, the cafes, shops and of course the wonderful Christmas lights displaying the festivities of what was to come later in the month The front desk staff were wonderful, accommodating and the hotel's comfort and restaurant and breakfasts were great and we began our day in the beautiful dining room and end of day the comforts of our very nice hotel room. We could not have found a better place for our stay in Terceira as we journeyed from there to Lisbon and Porto but retained the wonderful memories of or stay at the Angra Marina Hotel! IT was wonderful!

A superb hotel for our stay in Terceira for 3 nights. We stayed in a large one bedroom apartment which had a small kitchenette/living area and huge bathroom. The free garage parking was appreciated in an area with limited parking. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old town. Our apartment was on the second floor with a large glass fronted balcony which overlooked the boat yard and sea beyond. The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived with reception providing directions to the secure underground parking for our car, the restaurant staff who were friendly, helpful and professional and housekeeping. The breakfast was superb it included a large buffet with everything from local cheeses and cold meats, bread, pastries and even fresh honey draining from the honey comb. There was also a cooked breakfast on offer but as the buffet was great we didn't go with cooked option. We also appreciated the option to have a barista made coffee with breakfast if desired.

Very nice hotel, well-equipped with a beautiful pool and a clean garden. Taktic position because it is just a few steps from the center and the beach, with internal parking for the cars (if you come back late night you might find it full, but there is so much space in the street and the car is needed on these The staff is very friendly and willing to meet the client's demands. We were lucky for the apartment because we had a garden view, very quiet and at the first floor with balcony: spacious and clean (weather change possible even every day by wishing). Very recommended!

The location of the hostel in views of the Bucht of Praia da Vitória is very good. The rooms are clean and lovely furnished. The service is very friendly, but not around the hour on the ground (a telephone number is still deposited). The rooms are equipped with all necessary, but quality and cleanness in the community kitchen are only provided.

We did not actually stay at this hotel, but I had an interaction that is worth mentioning. We were exploring the area in front of the hotel when I had a mishap. Nothing major, but I certainly needed some attention. We entered the hotel seeking some assistance, and the front desk staff could not have been more helpful. I'm sure they knew we weren't guests there, but that didn't matter. I'm sure that level of service is also extended to anyone staying there.

GGuest UserDuring my 2-week trip around Portugal, Quinta do Espirito Santo is the most favorite. It is not only just a place for a stay but a place providing an authentic experience with the stories of Terceira Island. I stayed 2 memorable days here with Francisco -the owner who is also a very knowledgeable history teacher and museum director, and his wife, just like one of their family members. The manor itself (including the hotel's main buildings, subordinate houses, and a lovely tropical garden) is a mirror of the island's background, speaking to the maritime history and the special geographical position of this island. All the furniture and decorations have their own stories and histories. The host couple is very friendly, helpful, and talkative, and we always had very interesting talks. The rooms are very clean and atmosphere. This is a unique oasis of Terceira and Azores which makes a trip very unusual.

We stayed only 2 nights on 7 and 8 June in a junior suite. Very spacious with a living room and associated small kitchen, sleeping room with very spacious beds, bathroom and terrace with ocean view. 2 TVs available. The hotel is located just over the ocean. The hotel is located just over the ocean. There is a 'walk' along which you come on about 10' steps in the centre of Praia with the O pescador restaurant. This is how you can leave your car at the hotel and have the opportunity to try the Azorian wines. It was far from our best residence and breakfast of our 6 visiting islands (Sao Miguel,,Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico and Faial).
We would have liked to stay there for a day, but our planning for inland flights and boat connections was not allowed, because there are not all the days.

We stayed in a junior suite for just 2 nights on the 7th and 8th of June. Very spacious with a lounge and associated small kitchen, sleeping area with very spacious beds, bathroom and terrace with a view of the ocean. 2 televisions available. Made use of the outdoor pool and hot tub. Very friendly reception.
Excellent buffet breakfast with a large choice, including fresh fruit. The goods were constantly replenished.
The hotel is located just above the ocean. In between there is a 'walking track' along which you reach the center of Praia after about 10 steps, including the O pescador restaurant. For example, you can leave your car at the hotel and you have the opportunity to taste the Azorian wines.
It was by far our best stay and breakfast of our 6 islands visited (Sao miguel, Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico and Faial).
Normally we would have liked to stay there one day longer, but our planning for the internal flights and boat connections did not allow this, as there are not all days

If we ever come back to the Azores, it will be Terceira in the first place,
with the Atlantida Mar.

The hotel is right in front of the beach and harbour. It is clean and the staff are friendly. They will give you towels for the beach if you ask A room with a sea and harbour view is worth paying the extra for. Breakfast is nice but the same every day. You can catch the bus to other areas of the island, which is easy and only a few euros. Only 10 minutes from the airport. You can get the bus for a euro or taxi for 10 euros. Restaurants and bars are close by. Managed to find some vegetarian food but not much. The local wine is nice and low priced. Little fridge in the room for cold drinks but no coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Our suite was on two floors. Bedroom being top and sitting room and bathroom on first. The suite was lovely and had beautiful views from all windows. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was a very good assortment, something for everyone. We had one main meal there and the chef Vasco did an amazing job. Very centrally located with nice strolls in any direction. Thank you for a lovely stay.

MMKJLRThis place was really lovely for our young family. Overall, we were super happy. The location was great, right beside a public swimming pool area so lots of fun watching the kids jump off the peer. There was a bus stop meters for. The front Tran e which was great for getting to the downtown (5 mins) and a fun journey. 30 cents each! The pools were lovely, and you can’t beat the view. Good variety at breakfast, not much change day to day but we were always able to find something. We got one of the loft rooms but there was really zero sound barrier so it was hard to do anything once the kids were in bed. Some updating in the rooms would be good but given you’re an island in the Azores, it was easy to overlook that. Reception was lovely and very helpful. Lots of people spoke English or enough to communicate your needs. But above all, you can’t beat the view. It’s amazing!

GGuest UserLocation in heart of city can't be beat, at least not in mid price range: surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Front desk staff could not be nicer, always available and eager to help. A lady who works hard to keep breakfast food stocked, and there's a delicious cake/sweetbread on offer. Small but clean, efficient room, and I had a Juliet balcony overlooking Rua da Rosa; photo of town harbor as wall art. I had a nice sized bathroom and shower; a tripmate complained of a tiny, flooding shower, so maybe I was lucky. Would be nice to have a small area somewhere with a set of dumbbells just to keep in shape, especially with all the irresistible food around.

GGuest UserEven though the hotel is 2 stars there are basic standards that even a 2 star hotel should have. For example, the toilet brush was disgustingly rotten and dirty (it costs 2€ to buy a new one). The showers had curtains that were also dirty and sticked to the body when we were having a shower. We do understand that the bathroom is from the 60s but we believe that even a bathroom from the 60s can be improved with the time. There was a sock under the bed which implies that the bedroom wasn’t clean. The air conditioner was broken and in an island extremely humid and in the middle of the summer, this is not very nice. The paper cups in the bathroom, that even though we understand they are planet friendly, were disgusting and could be replaced by glass ones instead. The breakfast was extremely poor. The instant coffee was very bad, there wasn’t any fruit and if you’re a person that doesn’t eat bread or sugary cereal there wasn’t any other option available. It has indeed an amazing location, but since the island is so small, any other hotel will do. Nevertheless, if you like camping this hotel is perfect.
