Best Hotels near Museo Comunitario, Teotitlan Del Valle

Pros: Spacious, central hostel with cheap beds. Friendly staff, nice patio with a nice view onto Monte Alban and the city, table tennis and fitness room available. Not a party hostel. Has a kitchen. Free water and coffee. Clean. Laundry around the corner. Cons: I wasn't explained anything during the checkin, the staff speak hardly English (some don't at all which I find an absolute no-go for the size of this hostel) and the new guy there was absolutely not knowledgable about a lot of things an employee there should know. Helpful though. The kitchen equipment was bad. There was always a lack of spoons and glasses/cups. Moreover, there were no designated areas for ”I'm leaving, take this stuff if you want to” and nobody put his name and departure date onto the stuff in the fridge. I recommended those things but it wasn't implemented (although a simple piece of cardboard would have done). The room was quiet only from ~23:30 to ~07:30. Some trucks and motorbikes were extremely loud. NO internet connection directly on my room 123, but there was enough space outside to sit where there is a connection. But even there, there was sometimes 10% packetloss and a ping of ＞200ms depending on how many people were using the internet. Well, overall a good experience but the hotel should definately improve on the kitchen situation.

So we have been traveling throughout Oaxaca for two weeks. Our last night is by far our best. This hotel is close to the airport, it clean, it’s spacious, it’s cheap and best of all its comfortable. That goes along way when you are on the road for weeks. The shower, the bed, the staff..., it’s perfect.
