Banyan Tree Tengchong

The hotel is located in a hot spring town with a beautiful environment, including mountains, forests, streams and countryside. There are hot spring pools in the room and outdoors, so you can enjoy a high-quality hot spring bath at any time. The breakfast is rich in variety and the local food is delicious. There are small towns and hiking trails near the hotel, where you can take a walk and relax.

We chose Banyan Tree for this trip to Tengchong. The service was always good. The metasilicic acid hot spring outside the villa was also great. Compared with Banyan Tree in other cities, this one seemed a bit small, the hotel had a sense of age, and there was nothing to visit nearby. You had to take a taxi to get in and out.

The location is good, the distance to the scenic spot is moderate, and it is 30 minutes' drive from the airport. The hotel environment is very good, and the private hot spring is very comfortable. The staff is very considerate, especially Xiao Huang. The rental car we booked planned the itinerary and time very well, and answered all questions, very professional and patient.

It was a wonderful holiday. I can only say that Banyan Tree has never disappointed. Everything exceeded expectations! The hotel is surrounded by greenery, with small bridges and flowing water. The independent hot spring pool in the room greatly facilitates the daily bathing arrangements of the elderly and children. The hot spring water is very powerful and the water is released quickly. The "real" hot spring is worthy of its name. The skin is smooth every time after soaking. The Mingyue Restaurant in the hotel is also very cost-effective. The breakfast is rich, and the lunch and dinner taste very good. Even the simple stir-fried meat is very tasty. The white rice is of good quality. The elderly and children eat vigorously every day. Jokingly, they will gain several pounds after playing once. The most praiseworthy thing is the service. It is really considerate and all kinds of needs are fully met. The sweet potatoes we brought back from outside were baked for us for free. My husband’s birthday is coming soon and he also sent a cake. The whole family praised it! Next time I come to Tengchong, I will definitely choose Banyan Tree 😍😍

This time I grabbed a special offer yellow duck theme room, 3600+ per night. I stayed for two nights. The service of Banyan Tree is really good, and the attitude of the staff is impeccable. The facilities are also very convenient. Because it is a special offer room on the bottom floor, there is a lawn outside the private bath window, and sometimes the workers are cleaning outside. But the privacy is still very good. I went there mainly for the two hot springs. The main meal in Mingyue Restaurant is too expensive, so I didn't eat there. The breakfast quality is good, but there are not many varieties. After all, there are only 37 rooms here, and there won't be many guests. It is most convenient to drive by yourself, and you have to wait for the drivers around to take orders when taking a taxi. The private bath in the room is very comfortable. Drinks are free. When checking in, the staff told us that the makeup bag in the bathroom cannot be taken away. I took a look and didn't like it. I don't know who took it away before. The private bath on the first day gave rose petals, but there were no rose petals on the second day.

This is the most expensive and worst service Banyan Tree I have ever stayed in. I checked in on the second day of Tengchong. They only provide airport pick-up service, only from the airport to the hotel. Tengchong is a small place, and there is no pick-up between hotels. I really went back to the airport to ask them to pick me up. The hotel sheets smelled musty, which is really not allowed in the dry climate of Yunnan. Before checking in, a so-called specialist added WeChat, but the reply was always half an hour later. When I checked out, I asked if there was a drop-off service. It was fine to charge a fee. It was about 80 yuan to take a taxi to the airport by myself, but the hotel actually charged 150 yuan. They really think tourists are stupid. Such a large group hotel really disappointed me😡
